It hasn't left the Central region since Guilford had it briefly during the 2019 tournament.

Lucas, is this the first time ever for Thee Most Exalted Bespangled CinctureTM to log time in Waukesha? Perhaps ItTM might want to ensconce itself for awhile in the hometown of department store founder Richard Sears, the BoDeans, guitarist/inventor Les Paul, and Carroll alumnus Donald Goerke, the man who invented Spaghetti-Os.

Yep, first time ever. I thought they'd had possession in the Stealth Era, but no dice. Van Male has been site of three prior BeltTM games though.

Now I'm upset I don't have Spaghetti-O's to have for lunch. :(

You mean...... will not leave the Central region.

Well, the regions all change next year, I believe with different names, so that's both true and not true, I guess.

Yes, we're still not quite sure yet whether Carroll will wind up in the Clarence Campbell Region or the Prince of Wales Region.

Doesn't really matter either way, since Elmhurst avenged its season opening loss with an 81-72 victory up at Van Male over Carroll. Short lived time as Holder for the Pios.

Greg gets to call a BeltTM game Thursday night as the Blue Jays begin a new defense against North Park in Chicago.

The BeltTM was a bit unsure which team to give the honor to, so it took 3OT before Augustana beat Carthage 109-107.
The Vikings will carry The BeltTM to Wheaton on Tuesday in the CCIW semifinals.

I fell way behind on this, but I went ahead and updated the map with the changes from this season. Easy changes this time for the most part; I think a color update for Carroll since they failed to defend The BeltTM at home, moving the house logo to current holder Augie, and then just recording successful defenses/victories over visiting holders, etc.

As for tonight, this will be just the second time The BeltTM has made a trip to King Arena in the Modern Era. Wheaton has not held ItTM since the Stealth Era (1992).

So basically our BeltTm is either going to spend the summer in the suburbs of Chicago near fine dining, art, museums, good baseball, many many bars and literally thousands of other things to do or see...

or......Bloomington.

Yeah, yeah. ...  But if The BeltTM chooses to spend the summer in Bloomington it will henceforth be known as BLOOMINGTON!!   The BeltTM knows what it knows. 8-)

And I would HOPE you are not foolish enough to second-guess The BeltTM! :o

Only if The BeltTM has a Metra ticket, because you sure ain't gonna find any of that stuff in Wheaton -- and you won't find much of it in adjacent Glen Ellyn, Warrenville, Carol Stream, etc., either.

... where The BeltTM can enjoy the local Burger King, check out the livestock stalls at the McLean County Fair, order a Bud Light and listen to thirty-year-old Garth Brooks songs on the jukebox at a country bar, or visit the Beer Nuts company store and watch a video tour of the Beer Nuts factory.

I'm pretty sure the baubles are universally accepted as payment on any mass transit system.

The Belt Tm makes the trip to Bloomington.  It is just a short drive to All the Corn in Manito this the summer. It can attend the Manito Popcorn Festival celebrating its 43rd year in 2021.

And, of course, enjoy the corn fields surrounding Bloomington on the farms owned by Illinois Wesleyan University, ISU and the State Farm families of companies.  Bear Nuts will be available while at the Shirk Center
