Another successful defense, 88-60 over Averett.

Hampden-Sydney's next defense comes Saturday afternoon at Guilford. The Quakers last had possession of The BeltTM during the 2009-10 season; this will be the fourth game for The BeltTM at Guilford.

We had a changing of the guard over the weekend!

Hampden-Sydney 71

The BeltTM last spent time in Greensboro in 2010, but they'll be road warriors for the next while. The Quakers' first defense will be Wednesday at Roanoke.

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Until it's time for the New Traditionalists to take over.

A little behind, but three consecutive BeltTM defenses for the Quakers.

Wednesday
Guilford 65
Roanoke 53

Roanoke had had The BeltTM last year and won a home defense, but this was just their 3rd BeltTM game at the Cregger Center (they also had one back at the very beginning of the Modern Era).

Friday
Guilford 65
Mary Washington 62

UMW's had a handful of games in the past, including last year. This was the 9th game at the Anderson Center for The BeltTM.

Sunday
Guilford 60
Greensboro 45

I had a fun time with this one. Greensboro has never been in possession of The BeltTM before, but they don't even get to have a marker put on the map for their campus. While this is listed as a road game on Guilford's schedule, the game was played at the Greensboro Coliseum instead of Hanes Gymnasium.

Guilford has the next week or so off before one more ODAC contest against Shenandoah, also on the road.

I need to pay closer attention to things.

Shenandoah 65
Guilford 58

For the second straight year, the Hornets welcomed in a BeltTM holder and won. The BeltTM will spend the holiday in Winchester, Virginia, with the Hornets' first defense coming against Elizabethtown on 12/30.

This will now likely stay in the ODAC.  Shenandoah has one more non-con game, but it's unlikely they lose to Elizabethtown at home.

Beat me to it!

I've had a dedicated tab on my phone open for the past month and a half keeping tabs on what's been going on and have at the same time been keeping The MapTM up to date.

With the ODAC Tournament, The BeltTM will have been played for 33 times at the Salem Civic Center in the Modern Era, easily the most out of any venue.

RMC came back from down 5 late in regulation and survives a late three in overtime to maintain possession of The BeltTM.
