Most d3s don't ever charge admission and still can't draw crowds.

Quote from: Great Day to be a Royal on January 07, 2025, 03:41:19 PMIt is as simple as studying other similar size schools. Talk to other athletic depts. How do you get kids invested?  What brings them in? Also, market yourself. Get out and get around campus, promoting, and talking to kids about the team. Have to draw up an interest.

Get local youth nights. Get leagues bring teams, shoot around, fun events. Draw up some local interest, too.

I know the soccer team at the U has done this with Riverfront Sports; their home attendance average isn't on the website, but they were at or above where the mens basketball team is.  Which is unheard of at the U in my experience.

I can't wrap my head around these rotations. Brown looked like a mainstay in the line up, then logs 59 seconds last night. Not sure if something happened. I did not see the game.

Spratt, who played so hard last year, finally got good minutes though.

Typical Danzing mind games!!!My question is-is Lebisky still on the team?If not then the streak continues of Carl losing a player during  holiday break

He is still listed on the roster.  The speculation is he had some academic issues.  His last game was Dec. 16 (playing 34 minutes) and grades were due the next day.  If that's the case, and assuming that he takes an intersession course and can bring his grades up, he'd be eligible for the Juniata game on Jan. 25.

Brown got hurt. Something with his shoulder, they were working on him on the bench.

Watch the game on replay, scuffle late in the first half with several ejections..

It looked like Brown was wearing an ice pack on his upper arm/shoulder(non-shooting).
Disappointed in Spatola getting himself ejected; he's too important in the play of the team. Don't know if it will affect his playing time in the next game(have to sit out?).
Thought Coach should have played offense/defense in the last few minutes with his players who had 4 fouls; he had a number of opportunities to sub out/in with the numerous foul shots/Etown calling timeouts/Scranton's 3 available timeouts. Didn't hurt them last night but it easily could have.

We're halfway through the season & Danzig is still (as usual) looking for his starting lineup.
In-game management is terrible.
Last season & most of this year Teddy was persona non grata...now he starts.  ::)
Kids that bailed him out last year (Ruisi, Baratta & Roth) now never take off their warmups.
In his 24 years this program has certainly been turned around...for the worse.

Where do you watch replay?  I thought 24 hours after game it is free. Is it on Flo?

No, the games are saved.

*AMA recommends watching Scranton men's basketball with at least one package of Tums
& a bottle of Jack Daniels.

For some reason, the Scranton-Etown games were available for free replay later the same night. From personal experience, there was 1 previous Scranton nonconference game available before 72 hours earlier in the season.

Now that you've told on yourself...Flo will be sending you a Premature Watch bill.
