NYU also has two DI transfers coming in:  Kate Peek (jr) from Fairfield and Jamie Behar (Grad) from Lehigh.  They should be tough again this year...

Put's the men's to shame.

I'm very interested to see what DeSales, Tufts, and New Jersey City look like after quite a bit of turnover (of course still chance for a Senior to return for a 5th year).

NCAA Tournament-wise, NPI should help Scranton avoid their resume/ranking being dragged down via wins over Goucher, Juniata, Wilkes.

(average "Current Returning %" across all teams is 72%)

Team23-24 Win%23-24 SOSCurrent Returning %
Cortland0.692 0.526 63%
New Jersey City0.720 0.529 46%
Tufts0.458 0.630 45%

The fact that Tufts had the lowest winning percentage out of all of them is absolutely mind boggling.

Agreed. We never know the whole story watching from afar, but it was very unexpected for a team that made a deep NCAA tournament run, and returned just about everyone, to struggle like that, even against just about the toughest schedule in the land.

Unfortunately, there are a few more Landmark teams (Moravian, Lycoming, & Drew) besides those you've mentioned that do little to improve the overall strength of schedule.
However, not much you can do there but you can go out & improve the non-conference portion & I think Ben has done that by dropping local schools Marywood & Kings for the Cortland's, Tuft's, Desales, & NJCU's of the world.

As for Tuft's...they must certainly have quite the ambitious schedule again this season.

Hats off to UofS SID crew for finally posting a bio for Asst. Coach Tom Kosin.
Only a year late but still, incremental progress is better than none at all.  ::)

Tufts will return Callie O'Brien and Hannah Kelly for a 5th/Grad year.

Augie2020

Scranton will return key players from last year's elite 8 Maddy Ryan,Maddie Hartnett,Ally Lynch,Kara Quigley,Hanna Angelini(Assistant Coach) along with 5 more Freshman. So with Kranson,Romanowski,And the freshman from last year and incoming Freshman.I think Scranton will be okay.Bens bench is very deep this year with that Freshman class he brought in last year.Time will tell how this Freshman class plays in I know he has some studs on that Freshman class.

It's a great day to be a Lady Royal.  Let the sleuthing commence!

Meet at the 5th floor of the library. I'll bring the pizza!

Brooke Olender 5'10" out of Archbishop Carroll is one of the commitments (there was a second...)

ronk

She was listed as 6-1 during AAU but she doesn't look more than an inch taller than Coach O'Brien in the commit pic. Maybe Ben is taller than I thought.  :)

At the moment, Kyra Quigley is the only one playing 6-1. Hoping they'll get a few more in the coming months.
1st day of practice today, excepting the 5 days allowed in September. Wonder if the walking wounded from last season(all but Maddy Ryan from the men's team) are fully recovered now

Ronk:
Not really what I was asking.
You implied you saw her during AAU games.
Just wondering, since you saw her play, if she plays big like a 6'1" player can or if her game seems a little smaller?
Post/inside game vs. wing/more perimeter game?
