The record I have posted for each team is in-region, not overall. Sorry that I was not clear in my post.

No, that's my bad, BP. I should've figured that out.

With the regional rankings coming out tomorrow I would like to hear some people's predictions.  Here are mine for good measure and how I would rank them according to my research on the strength of schedule.

1) Buena Vista
2) St. Norbert
3) North Central
4) Carthage
5) Webster
6) Coe
7) North Park

Props to droppinbombs for coming to the closest to the central regional rankings that came out today.  The official rankings were:

Central Region In-Region Record Overall Record
1. Buena Vista 18-10 18-10
2. St. Norbert 10-6 13-9
3. North Central (Ill.) 19-5 24-5
4. Carthage 12-8 17-11
5. Webster 21-1 26-7
6. North Park 18-9 22-11

To bad the "official rankings" used bunk info, according to my math. I'm fairly certain half of the in-region records of the ranked teams are incorrect.

My claim is that these are wrong:
BVU (should have two fewer losses)
Carthage (if through 4/26, should have two more wins; if through 4/27, should have four more wins)
North Park (should have one loss less).

I also think Wheaton should have one more in-region loss.

Here's what I have. I assumed the losses to U Chicago and NPU were not included in the Score Reporting Form.
WHEATON (13-14)
1-1 Aurora
CCD Loras
1-1 Ripon
3-0 Benedictine
1-0 Dominican
2-1 Augustana
2-1 Carthage
2-1 Millikin
1-2 Illinois Wesleyan
0-1 Concordia (IL)
0-3 North Central (IL)
0-1 U Chicago
0-2 North Park
5/1 North Park
5/3 Aurora
5/7 Elmhurst
5/8 Elmhurst
5/13-16 CCIW Tourney

My bad.  I agree with your 13-14.  I miscalculated the wins and did not have the NPU score.

I'd really like to put the 20-5 Greenville team in the regional rankings, but look at their schedule! Other than the WashU and St. Norbert games, they have played virtually no one worth mentioning and still somehow lost games to Knox AND MacMurray. Their fate may be decided by the series with Webster and that is only if they sweep Fontbonne to end the season.

GREENVILLE (20-5)
1-2 Wash U
1-0 Platteville
2-0 Cornell
1-1 Knox
1-1 St. Norbert
3-0 Principia
3-0 Blackburn
3-0 Eureka
3-0 Westminster
2-1 MacMurray
4/30 Webster
5/1 Webster
5/7 Fontbonne
5/8 Fontbonne

They are still 20-5
Baseball players get to every base.

20-5 or not, the NCAA has made it clear that SoS is a big component of the selection process and Greenville has a low SoS. They needed to play some big-boys in the central region (not a single CCIW team on their schedule?) if they were to get a shot at a Pool C.

I'm not surprised. As both Ralph Turner and Pat Coleman will tell you, the NCAA has screwed up the posted records of regionally-ranked teams more than once in basketball. One gets the distinct impression that Indianapolis considers D3 to be nothing more than an afterthought unworthy of due diligence when it comes to regionally ranking teams.

They played a big boy yesterday (Webster) and got crushed.  I kind of suspected their record and stats were a product of a cupcake schedule.  They proved me right.  We'll see how they rebound in the DH against Webster today.

A 13-4 score is not being crushed (manhandled maybe), and today's DH showed we can play Webster even up. Lost 1-0 in game 1 in a great pitching duel between Will Savage (5H, 2W, 5K) and Matt Leefers (6H, 0W, 6K). The one run was unearned and a circus catch in the bottom of the 7th by Cody Stevenson in LF saved the game for Webster. In game 2 Greenville won by the score of 8-6 as Kye Winter outlasted Bryce Law on the mound. Four hits, a walk and two errors led to 5 big runs in the second for GC to put us up 7-4. Congrats to Coach Kurich and the Gorlocks as they have clinched the conference championship and the No. 1 seed in the tournament.

Have you every watched the Cardinals game after they clinch the division title?  It doesn't mean anything to them.  Greenville has a lot to learn and a long way to go before they contend nationally.  Also, the game yesterday was 13-0 before Greenville scored 3 meaningless runs.  Webster scored 13 runs in the first 4 innings.

When the Cardinals clinch, a lot of regulars get rested in that next game. Webster still played their regular lineup.
