WashU/IWU could easily flipflop, but their is still so much ball to be played and IWU will have the CCIW tourney games yet. IWU needs another CCIW team to show up in the rankings to help their "record vs regionally ranked opponents."

Way to much to happen yet to worry too much about it right now.

My predictions for the 3rd Regional Rankings:

In-Region W-L               SOS                     Record vs Ranked Opponents
1.) Wash U                         25-8                               .573                             7-5
2.) Chicago                         19-11                             .582                             3-2
3.) Il. Wesleyan                   22-12                             .561                             4-3
4.) St. Norbert                     19-8                              .522                             1-3
5.) North Park                     24-9                               .518                             4-6
6.) Central                          24-8                               .501                             0-0

Maybe Elmhurst sneaks in there with their .554 SOS, but I think Augie and Wheaton both drop out.

The CCIW tourney is underway! http://cciw.org/sports/2012/5/5/BB_0505124601.aspx?id=745

In the IIAC:
Buena Vista is up 7-2 in the 5th on Luther
Wartburg up 5-3 on Simpson in the 5th

Question: In the In-Region record vs ranked opponents, they take into account any team that has been ranked right? Or is it just against the current ranked teams?

Previously ranked teams count as well... once ranked is always ranked.

In the most recent rankings, they are only counting the teams that are currently ranked.

**North Park is listed at 1-3 (1 win vs IWU, 2 loses to IWU, 1 loss to Chicago)

It's looking like the IIAC will likely be a one-bid conference as Coe jumped into the rankings this week at #5 while Central's free-fall continues... losing their opener against Buena Vista last night.

I see the SLIAC as a one-bid conference as well. (Likely Webster)

CCIW should be a two-bid league provided either IWU or NPU wins the title. I think they each need one more win to secure a Pool C.

MWC is a one-bid conference (St. Norbert is likely)

WashU and Chicago look like Pool B/C locks right now.

Based on proximity, who knows where they all end up next week.

I think it's important that that win comes against the other team too. If one team loses today, then beats Elmhurst and loses in the championship, I don't see them getting a Pool C bid.

If each NPU and IWU get one more win, they will meet in the Final and I doubt a loss there would keep either out.

Coe is in the driver's seat in the IIAC tournament - if they can close that out it makes the NP-IWU bid for a Pool C that much stronger.

NPU's got the automatic bid from the CCIW, and, since Wesleyan picked up three wins in the CCIW tourney, my guess is that the Titans will get a bid as well. What I'm wondering is: a) who's going where; and b) will the committee send one of the CCIW teams to Memphis and the other to Whitewater?

I'd love for NPU to go to Whitewater, so that I can see the Vikings play, but everyone around the NPU program seems to feel that the Park will be flying to the Volunteer State this week, courtesy of the NCAA.

Perhaps it's neither here nor there, but IWU could bus to Millington while NPU would have to fly as you stated. NPU is within driving range of Etta as well.
