Provided things fall the right way, could the CCIW be a two-bid league? It seems the NCAA thinks so.
Feel odds would be better had a CCIW team cracked the Top 3 in the Regional Rankings and then a different CCIW team won the Conference Tournament....
2008-09 and 2012-13 WIAC Fantasy League Champion

2008-09 WIAC Pick'Em Tri-Champion

Agree, but with the 3 of the 4 CCIW teams going head to head w regionally ranked opponents this weekend, it could be enough to boost their resumes. Those CCIW tourney wins will likely help more than other tourney wins (SLIAC, MWC, IIAC)

CCIW is currently 10-5 (.667)on the season

IIAC: 0-0 (n/a)

MWC: 1-2 (.333)

SLIAC: 12-10 (.545)

Anyone else keeping an eye on Spalding? Currently 12-3 with wins over a pair of WIAC schools and #1 Umass-Boston.

Seems like a legit regional contender in the making. Thoughts?

Yes. There are several teams across the nation that seem to be having breakthru years.

Also wondering how Spaulding and Webster play out versus each other the first weekend in May?

They have a pretty dominate starter in Keating and they should win all those contests.  A weak conference will give them plenty more wins.

BigPoppa

The Central seems to be shaping up a bit. SLIAC with a pair of contenders, CCIW with 2-3, and the IIAC always produces a few.

New D3 Baseball Poll is out: http://www.d3baseball.com/top25/2018/2018Top25-week-6

Spalding is the only Central team in the poll at #18 with Augustana, Wartburg, North Central, WashU and Webster all earning votes... curiously, to me at least, Carthage (15-3) remains without a vote.

Anyone care to take a shot at ranking the Central Region's top teams? (Maybe I am the only one on here as the snow still flutters down in the Midwest?)

1. Spalding (SLIAC)
2. North Central (CCIW)
3. Carthage (CCIW)
4. Wartburg (IIAC)
5. Augustana (CCIW)
6. WashU (UAA/IND)
7. Webster (SLIAC)
8. St. Norbert (MWC)
9. Luther (IIAC)
10. ????

Looking like a down year for the Central.  Spadling will always be in the picture with Keating on the mound.

Agree. It seems like the Central always has a solid 1-3 at the top and then it falls off very quickly. The Central's #4-10 don't match up to other regions'.

Also, I am beginning to think I am the only one following the Central Region.

No, your prescience and insight are sufficient for the rest of us posters.   ;)
