Well I show them at 17-15 overall, take away a split with Robert Morris of Springfield (NAIA), as well as a win over Iowa Wesleyan (NAIA). That makes 15-14, but as I look closer I don't think Missouri Baptist is D3 either and they have a loss to them so that would be 15-13, so I think they will hold to the over .500 record.

Corrections appreciated.

St. Ambrose is not Division III either, which was one win for Monmouth.

Those are NOT The new rankings, the rankings don't come out until Thursday. That is the ABCA Poll, no bearing on the official NCAA rankings or touney selections.
Sorry, my bad
i'm a idiot
No, we are just all trying to learn this stuff better. :)

Reminds me of a Sienfeld, George goes "I am Constanza, King of the Idiots"

One thing that will hurt the Central region Pool C teams is that the SLAIC will get a team into the regional through the auto-bid system which bumps one of the higher ranked regional teams out of the picture.
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

Pat Coleman

No it won't. Pool C teams are selected nationally. There's no minimum or maximum per region.

I see the Central looking this way right now:

1. Luther
2. Wash U
3. IWU
4. Carthage
5. SLIAC Champ (Webster?)
6. Wartburg/Augustana

Just wondering if Rockford is goin to .get a central ranking or consideration for a NCAA bid .Seem like alot of schools get mentioned for a bid but never Rockford, Why?
Inregion record 28-8
overall 29-12
won Nathcon reg. season
won Nathcon tour.
split with #21 Pomona -Pitzer
Beat Augustana who always gets mentioned as a candidate
2-2 against regionally rankeds teams

I know they have not been up there year in and year out like some programs but lets judge teams on what they do this year as roster and coaching changes can cause a team to drop a little or improve quickly from year to year.

Pat Coleman

Of the various points you mentioned, here's what the committee actually looks at:

Quote from: soxfan14 on May 12, 2007, 10:07:30 PM
Inregion record 28-8
2-2 against regionally rankeds teams

They also look at Quality of Wins Index fairly heavily. No idea what Rockford's is, however.

Mr. Ypsi

A week ago goldengear calculated Rockford's QOWI at 9.16.  After the tourney wins, I would guess it would be up to 9.4-9.5.  Combined with a 78% in-region record and a split with RR teams, I would think they would get serious consideration (pool B first, not directly pool C).
