Here's a tough schedule if I read it right   -  UC Santa Cruz has only 2 Home games   -   if their home is Burlingame, Cal,  where they play Whitworth and Lewis & Clark   -  All other games are either "ats" or away tourneys.

How come?

Burlingame is not near Santa Cruz, relatively speaking.  Burlingame is on the Bay between San Francisco and Palo Alto; Santa Cruz is on the north side of Monterey Bay, about 60 miles to the south.

They are America's guest! Or at least California's!

The Women's Volleyball team doesn't have any home events on their schedule either.  I checked out the schools construction schedule and there's nothing about the gym on there, but they must be doing renovations or something.

I'm sure we'll hear from their numerous, vocal fans in the not-too-distant future...

Banana Slugs move kinda slow and they have to get here from all the way out in California.  Give them some time.

You know, it's funny, in the write up for 06-07 they keep referring to 'walk ons'...

Wait, isn't EVERYONE technically a walk-on in D3???

I use the phrase to refer to players the coach didn't recruit or didn't know were coming when the school year started.

True, but the distinction still gets made often between those actively recruited and those simply discovered (whether open tryouts, dominating intramurals, or whatever).

Of course, at nearly all (if not all) nationally competitive programs, significant PT very rarely goes to any of the latter, but once in a blue moon a player is a late developer or just somehow got overlooked.  Such stories are unusual, but often 'nifty' when they occur.  (And I imagine that at many less competitive programs 'walk ons' are still a sizeable portion of the roster.)

ALRIGHT - a great day of hunting!!!!!!

Wonder why a mainstreamer life Hopkins would not have theirs up yet???

the Late eight (I think) are Cazenovia, Medgar Evers, New York City Tech, Staten Island, St Josephs -Brooklyn, Eastern Mennonite, and Rust.   Other sources provided me with a couple of schedules that I don't think are on the sites yet (Pitt Greensburg, Hunter), but likely Suffolk is the 8th as I Had to go through the GNAC sked to get it.

Actually, I'm stunned we have all but 8!!!!   PaBegg, who is your eighth - do you want me to send to you?

I may gently rattle a few of them to see if we can't finish things up.

You listed seven schools plus Johns Hopkins, which is 8. I took into account Hunter, Suffolk, and UPG.

Oddly enough, there wasn't much hunting required. Three of the four put the new schedule where the old page was, and Poly just updated the link from the main basketball page.

With respect to the final 8,

Cazenovia and Eastern Mennonite have 25 games accounted for on other people's schedules, so they're done. Hopkins also has 25. Oddly enough, they don't appear to have any regular non-conference games: 18 league games and 7 tournament games.

CSI and NYCCT have 19, and Medgar Evers has 18. But they're each missing the four conference games against each other.

Rust has 13 and St. Joseph's of Brooklyn has 8.

Thanks Pabegg- my mistake  - I'll bet we may find that St Joe's Brooklyn is an additional game on the missing CUNY schedules....
