The Big Unit becomes the 24th (and probably last for at least a couple of decades) member of the 300-win club.  I suspect the next member has <100 wins, and may not even currently be in MLB.

My 'search' skills are negligible, and I can't find the board that was discussing odd non-no-hitters.  There was a weird game in San Diego tonight.  18 innings.  The Padres used up their entire bullpen, so the starter from Friday pitched the 16th and 17th.  An infielder pitched the 18th and took the loss.  But the reason for the post is that four D'backs relievers combined to no-hit the Padres for all nine extra innings. ;)

This... is a simple game. You throw the ball. You hit the ball. You catch the ball.  "There are three types of baseball players: those who make things happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened."

Chris DeNorfia (Wheaton-MA) was called up to the Oakland A's yesterday. Though they lost his first game with them to the Twins, 10-5, he came into the game late and drove in a run in his only at-bat-per Oakland box score.

Side note:  Didn't know until last night he had also played in the bigs with the Reds in previous seasons

Osh,

Thanks from all of us on your great work updating  d3 players in the majors!!!

Just checked Scott Chiasson's Mexican League stats.

Did Orioles make a mistake releasing him??!!

His stint with the Cubs were all in reliefe back in the early '00s, if i remember correctly.

I know he is getting up thier in age, (32 ::)), and that may be his problem

For the Lowell Spinners (Red Sox):  D3 Player of the Year Drew Hedman, D3 Pitcher of the Year Jeremiah Bayler, and the rest of the Trinity team Sean Killeen and Tom DiBenedetto.

For the Lake Vermont Monsters (Nationals): Evan Bronson, Jack Walker and . . . . shoot, who am I missing?
A walk is never as good as a hit!

Don't forget Chris Heisey who at this point is probably posting the best numbers of any DIII product/legit prospect!  Check these numbers out at AA:
