I don't know if he applies, but Rob Cummings played his freshman year at Illinois Wesleyan before transfering to UC Santa Barbara. He was a 2nd team all region selection before leaving IWU.

That's enough to make the list. Thanks!
To everyone, any others I missed?

As a Carthage fan, I was glad to see him go:)
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.

Thanks for the updates, everyone. Regionals have been occupying most of my D-III baseball time lately. I'll get the list up to speed, if it's not already, after the CWS. In the meantime, pass along any other transactions I miss.

cubs,
You are correct. He saw his 1st action for San Diego as a pinch hitter on Monday the 17th when he singled in his 1st at bat as the Padres beat the Giants 3-1 He started Tuesday and went 2 for 5 with 2 singles 2 runs scored and an RBI but the Padres lost to the Giants 7-6. He came off the bench on Wednesday and went 0-2, in a Padres 10-5 win over the Dodgers. On Thursday he started and singled in 4 trips as the Padres lost to the Dodgers 4-1 and on Friday he started and went 1-5, another single, as the Mariners, pounded the Padres 15-8. I'm beginning to see a pattern here. 3 starts, all Padre losses. Off the bench twice, both Padre wins. So far he's 5 for 17 (.294) all singles.

From the Kalamazoo Kings web site, 2010:  Joe DiPietro

Joe graduated from Pacific Luthern University with a Business Degree. Joe will be in his fourth year with the Kings. Over the past two years, Joe has established himself as one of the best starters in the Frontier League with a 15-11 record and a 3.42 ERA.

Beaconville

To add to some of the list that was started by OshDude back on page 2.  I added on to the (New England) list based on some research.

Chris Denofria-Wheaton (was added in later posts)
Nelson Figueroa-Brandies (also added in later posts)
Rod Correia-UMass Dartmouth
Mike Porzio-Western Connecticut
John Kiely-Bridgewater State
Jim Siwy-Rhode Island College

and probably the best major leaguer to come out of New England Division III-
Ken Hill who pitched in pats of 14 seasons in the Majors and was a 1994 All Star pitched at Mass College of Liberal Arts back in the 80's when it was known as North Adams State.  They had some great teams back in the 80's.

Beaconville

Also, since my beloved UMass Boston Beacons, after years of struggles have finally made it to the big dance in Wisconsin.  I figured since they are a topic of conversation I would give some imput on our school's long and dazzling resume of professional players (ha ha)

We had a player back from 1988-1990 named Steve Coffey who actually tied the NCAA D-III record for consecutive games with a hit and held it for about 8 years.  He was (and currently is) the only player drafted in the history of the program.  He was picked in the 20th round of the 1990 draft by the Cubs.  He played 92 games of single A ball in 1990 and 91' and had a career batting average there of just .185.  He has been playing baseball just North of Boston in a summer league, and still plays at age 40.  This season he was named as an assistant coach with the North Shore Navigators of the NECBL.

Currently, Nick Conway who pitched for UMB from 2006-2009 is about to start his second season with the Worcester Tornadoes of the Independent Can-AM League.  He was 2-4 with a 5.01 ERA last year and mainly pitched out of the bulpen.
