It looks like, the Orioles are set in making Kenny Moreland (CNU - 2008) are reliever.  Last he started a game in 2010.  this year he was at High A Frederick keys (2-3, 3.94 ERA, 32 INN, 19 K) and got sent down to Class A Short Season NY-Penn League but has not played in a game since June 9.

It appears Tim Saunders from Marietta has Ben promoted to the advanced A cubs affiliate in Daytona.

The Orioles released Moreland in June.

Some nuggets besides the aforementioned news on Saunders.
• Albright's Casey Lawrence was a part of a triple play this week.
Milb.com's Moniker Madness is well underway. I like Rock Shoulders, Caleb Bushyhead, Duke von Schamann, Roughned Odor, Forrest Snow and Jamodrick McGruder.
• The Nationals signed Ithaca pitcher Andrew Wall and assigned him to Short-Season Auburn where he'll join Augustana pitcher John Peters.
• Chapman's Brian Rauh was promoted from Short-Season to Single-A.
• After a slow start at Short-Season, Bruce Maxwell has hits in eight of his last nine games.
• UW-La Crosse's Vinny Rottino is making a case to make the big leagues with his second team this season. He started this year with the Mets and later signed with Indians. Rottino is putting up better numbers at Triple-A with the Indians than he did with the Mets. It's not all about numbers, but he has a 1.017 OPS with Columbus. He also has three home runs and nine runs batted in over his last six games.
• Grove City pitcher Erik Arnesen is also making a push to be in the mix for a September call-up in the Nationals pen. Arnesen hasn't allowed a run and struck out 21 batters in his last 20 innings (nine appearances). Arnesen has a 0.94 earned run average in 20 games out of the bullpen this season. He had a 6.43 ERA in two starts.

Macalester's Mitch Glasser (39th round, White Sox) and Amherst's Kevin Heller (40th round, Red Sox) were among draftees not signed by the deadline.

Seniors are not subject to the signing deadline.  These players are still eligible to sign.

...and had a pretty brutal intro to Single-A last night, taking the loss after giving up 4 runs in 1.2 IP.   Here's to better things for Logan.
