A Lycoming sweatshirt in Helena, Montana in July. :)

But was it a "LIE coming" sweatshirt, or a "lye COAMing" sweatshirt?

Had a grad in one of my fantasy football leagues and I had to put him on the spot.

Turns out we'd been saying it right all these years (COAM) ... just as Pat and I had finally got in our heads that it might be (COMING) -- I think we went back and forth on one podcast.

Going back and forth might be the best strategy.  I badgered someone on the MAC board last year, and he claimed that it's said either way.  Kind of like in Troy, you hear "Rents a LEAR" just as often as you hear "RENTS uh ler."

I've always been glad to be bailed out by 'RPI' on that one.

I think I can finally spell it. One try, no editing: Renssaelear?

(accidentally typed two ns and edited out of habit. I bet I've never typed that right the first time)

Also, love the Middlebury pics. And the structure hub link.

And along the lines of the topic, saw a Tufts shirt in D.C. last week, which I think completes the signs-of-the-NESCAC in D.C. checklist. They're easily the proudest conference in D3, no?

Dear Mr. Keith D3 McK-Mack:

We have been forced to defer a decision on your admissions application.  Apparently, it was misdirected to our slightly less prestigious sister school, Renssaelear Polly.

We look forward to continuing the rich dialogue that you have helped establish.

Sincerely,

Saw a Mt. Holyoke sticker on the window of an SUV in Charlotte. Possibly an odd sighting to mention on a football board, but I checked with Wikipedia and their sports are D3.

I saw Linfield, DePauw, and Tufts stickers on cars in Austin today.  ACL fest time (big music festival) could have brought them into town.

A "very attractive" Hope sweatshirt observed amongst the sea of Bulldog red on Saturday morning at Fresh Market on Ashford-Dunwoody.  Obviously, not formerd3db en drag on a southern visit...  ;D  ;)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Watching the 49ers/Falcons game today from Ohio and I saw a Linfield sweatshirt on a female fan at the game in San Fran when they panned the crowd.  Was that confusing enough?
