Last weekend for my trip to McMinnville, OR for the Linfield - UST game, I stayed with Linfield poster swede. His guest room is becoming a veritable museum of Linfield and D-III memoribilia. He has stuff from all of the NWC schools as well as St. Johns, Gustavus Adolphus, Hamline, & Concordia Moorhead of the MIAC. He has stuff from Wisconsin Whitewater, Beloit, Coe, Wartburg, Mount Union, Cal Lutheran and McMurry. This is just the stuff he has put out so far.

Glad to see the vintage McMurry Alumni Association luggage tag with the Indian in ceremonial headdress displayed proudly!

Those are collectors' items now.

Saw a guy wearing a Wittenberg hat at Soldier Field last week during the Bears-Packers nightmare.  Had a good spirited conversation with him about NCAC football.  Unfortunately, the conversation ended and I had to return to watching the embarassment taking place on the field.

Saw a girl wearing a Willamette lacrosse T-Shirt at a UW-Fond du Lac* basketball game.

*-Not a member of the WIAC that is never mentioned. It's a JuCo. Wisconsin has 13 of these in addition to the 9 WIAC members, UW-Parkside in D2 and Green Bay, Milwaukee and Madison in D1.

I was at the grocery store when I saw red and purple out of the corner of my eye. I turned and the red was an MIT sweatshirt and the purple was the woman's hair.

Walking down the hall of the student union at Carroll I saw someone with a Mount Union sweatshirt on.

In Vegas this weekend I saw a coaching DVD in amongst all the D-I program DVD's from Kean College and Elmhurst College.  They looked out of place between Michigan, USC, OSU and Texas.

Out on the strip I saw a Pomona sweatshirt and a Washington U (MO) shirt on someone at the coaching clinic.
