Kate,

I was kidding.  As I type this, I can see that there are two guests/lurkers viewing this page.

While your allegiance to all things Del Val, including former players, is admirable, it doesn't make you a CSAC fan.  Your disdain for Gwynedd-Mercy disqualifies you.

This discussion is already the most lengthy debate in this room since last season.

What is a CSAC fan exactly?  One who has no disdain for GMC ? ? ?

Great win by the Lady Cavs holding GMC to 38 points.  GMC shot very poorly.  Cabrini seemed to outhustle them as well.  I don't know if Cabrini will finish undefeated in conference.  They still have Centenary(though beaten by Gwynedd) and Gwynedd at home.  I don't see the Lady Griffins playing another stinker of a game at Cabrini.  They will be loaded for bear to exact some revenge on Cabrini.  Nonetheless Cabrini has bragging rights right now.  Great job Lady Cavs!!  :)

Lady Cavs win again.  Didn't have it together in the first half then they blowout Rosemont in the second.  GMC wins.  Centenary loses their 2nd conference game and 3rd in a row.

Cabrini plays Centenary on Feb 2.  If they win they have the lock for the number one seed.  I believe they will win out.  Even if they lose to GMC the Lady Cavs have the tiebreaker advantage in OOC common opponents(Desales and Albright---GMC 0-2 Cabrini 1-1).  GMC is locked in as the second seed.  I believe they will only have 1 more loss in conference (and if not see tiebreaker).  Centenary is the third seed---Can't get any higher.  Then it will be everybody else, which right now includes Neumann(currently 4th), Marywood(5th), Cedar Crest & Notre Dame (tied for 6th) and its Keystone and Immaculata looking from the outside.   The Bibles and Rosemont are not even in consideration.

I see it as a Cabrini - Gwynedd Championship Matchup!!!  :)

I saw Cabrini in its 1st game of the year vs. Scranton and was impressed with their point/shooting guard Deana DiAmico(6-6 3-ptrs). With one of Scranton's finest guards(Kate P.) on Cabrini's coaching staff, one foresees even more improvement in her game. Major difference between the teams was that it was 3rd game for Scranton and Cabrini's first.

Wow the Lady Cavs have beaten Scranton, GMC by 20, could have beat Desales if they did not blow foul shots and are not even mentioned for a vote or honorable mention in the top 25 ?
Seems like alot of chatter about them and they are noticed but deserve some recognition.    I guess they like it quiet.

Wolfpac,

Lady Cavs lost to Scranton in their first game.  You could say that Ronk thought the game could have gone the other way "IF" Cabrini had played a game before they played Scranton.  That Cabrini/Scranton game was Scranton's 3rd and Cabrini's first.  So Scranton worked on things before Cabrini, Lady Cavs had nothing to work from in game.  I would like to see that matchup again!  Maybe in the tourney???

Cabrini's 3 losses are Desales(15-2) ranked 14th.  Scranton(14-4) currently "36th" and Elizabethtown(10-8).   ::) Now that E'town game was in St Thomas Virgin Islands in December...it could have been the weather!!!   ;D

I'd like to be in the islands right now.  (Too cold),  But it's Alumni game today so I'll deal with the cold by being inside.  ;)

My apology....  the men beat Scranton.   Sorry Scranton.

The Lady Cavs have been on fire in their own conference and may win a first round in the NCAA tourny if they are not intimidated.

Wolfpac,

YOu might be right, but they still will have to win the conference tournament in order to make it.  GMC will be loaded for bear for the tourney.  They'll want to do to Cabrini as Cabrini did to Gwynedd last year.

On a side note.  We had a blast last night.   :)

How about Marywood with the Belvidere, NJ connection beating GMC tonight!  Congratulations to them!

What happened in Scranton tonight with Marywood?  Both Men's and Women's teams won??? Wow!  Never thought that would happen.  ???

Cabrini's Lady Cavs win big over Centenary.  Cyclones kept it close for a while.  Another second half runaway for Cabrini. They now have the inside track on the number 1 seed for the CSAC playoffs.  :)

Based on looking at the current standings, Cabrini now has clinched a playoff spot. Being sixth is obviously not where they want to fall, but they still have clinched.   :)

Lady Cavs without Brady, GMC doubled down low with the two towers they have and the backdoor was gone, they trapped the Cavs and used size to control the offensive boards and paint. Little #10 was shutdown and hard for the Lady Cavs to fight off the Senior game woes.  Now that this is out of the way they can concentrate on basketball.  Tough when the flu is in the locker room too.

Believe me, with Belvidere H.S.'s Caity & Marielle at Marywood, i'm as much a Pacer fan as i can be, but you really have to hand it to Cedar Crest winning last night in Scranton - major improvement is what it's all about & the Falcons are really on a roll.  Congrats to them!

Wolfpac

Congratulations to the Lady Cavaliers of Cabrini who are now ranked 6th in the MidAtlantic region.  Been a while and they truly deserve it.
