Watching the DeSales/GMC game.  GMC just tied the game up.  But it looks like Griffin player hit 3, but shot was after buzzer.  Oh well, refs missed it.  Game in OT.

Gwynedd beats Cabrini by 5.  Difference in the game is that GMC hit 58%(10-18) of their threes while Cabrini was 38% (6-16).

Caught a game at IU and saw the flags for the 3 consecutive national championships and All Americans--- Shank, Sharff with the legendary coach Rush.
Gave me chills.   Was truly unbelievable what those ladies did before Title 9 took over.

The tragedy is that when I was speaking with some of their students who I thought would know more about it I found it difficult to understand they do not realize the legacy they left at their college. I am sure the older folks know but amazingly some of the students of today do not realize the impact on the growth of their institution nor the fact some of those players are prominent coaches at D1 or Vps of their own college.

Basketball truly impacts the education aspect of a college and I believe college is a term that goes with basketball or football.  Even in women's basketball at the d3 level with the sport in its purest form the sport has an impact in enrollment and finacial leverage with the academic priority.  I think we need to celebrate our women's basketball accomplishments for the sake of the sport once in awhile and honor them for their past and present feats.   The women do not always get that recogniton since they are not throwing the ball down the hoop or jumping 50 inches but lets give them credit for their hard work by remembering the pioneers of womens basketball at IU.    If anyone gets a chance go to their website and checkout their teams of the 1970's if you have not done so...........

Congratulations to Deanna DiAmico for scoring 1000pts in her career !
Not bad for someone who is not the ideal height for hoops.  She shot alot of 3's and the Cavs needed her many nights.

Go Deanna.  (hope I spelled her name correctly)

Maybe someone can answer this.  Tonight Immaculata played at Cedar Crest.  I don't know if this game counts as a conference game.  The reason I ask is that the CSAC is split North/South Immaculata is in the South and CC is in the North.  They only face each other normally 1x a year.  But since CNDofMD cancelled their season this is a probably a fill in game.  So how does this game count in the standings if it does at all?  ???

In an absolute nail biter tonight, Centenary hung on for a one point victory, 67/66 over Cabrini.  That game really made "live stats" LIVE!

Heartbreaking loss for the Lady Cavs.  Cabrini hits a 3 to with 11 seconds left to take the lead 66-65 and Centenary takes it down and scores with 3 seconds left to win by one. 67-66.  Mighty Macs also win.  Both road teams win unlike men's games where the home teams won.

Today's games have Centenary traveling to Gwynedd and Immaculata heading to Neumann. Both home teams haven't played in a week. It will interesting IU seems to be peaking at the moment.  Neumann seems to be going the other way a little bit.  It's hard to go against the home team here.   But you never know.  Same over at Gwynedd.  Gwynedd did beat Centenary in 2OT's earlier at home.  Centenary is a resilient team if they play within themselves. But.... I think it could be a IU-Gwynedd final on Sunday afternoon at the Griffin complex.

At the half both home teams are up by double digits.  If both Centenary and Immaculata don't play some defense and start scoring, it looks like it's going to be Gwynedd at Neumann.

Congratulations to the Neumann Lady Knights - going to the big dance!  Is this the first time for the team?  It was a convincing win!

Yes, congratulations to Neumann.

Since there days in the old PAC, the women have never even been to a conference final.  Looking back I couldn't find that they've ever been to the big dance in Men's or Women's Basketball.

What has been impressive is Gwynedd Mercy.  They've been to the conference final 13 times in a row and are now 5-8. They could still see some ECAC play.
