Kate,

You are right but I'm sure most of us on this board will hope the Lady Knights beat the Lady Dutch on Friday.  Also, GMC is hosting Alvernia in the ECAC.   Two old PAC teams challenging each other Wednesday.  :)

Congratulations to two CSAC players nominated as Josten finalists for 2011.  Chelsea McTigue from Immaculata and Elizabeth Sunderhaus from Cedar Crest.  Good luck ladies.  It is still a high honor to be finalists!!  :)

Major congratulations to the Colonial States Athletic Conference with two Josten's nominees!  "Like minded" AND announcing it in the BEST possible way!  ;)

knight fever

Neumann couldnt keep up in a 15 point loss to LVC. Very good game as the 15 point loss was very misleading. Neumann was up 2 points at the half and was up for a little bit of the second half. LVC went on a 12 point run and Neumann just couldnt keep up. Was very impressed with LVC, nice team. I hope continue on and win a few more. Nice balanced line up. The point guard #5 was very impressive as Neumann had no one to stop her penetration. The rest of their players also played well. As for Neumann Katie Young had another great game with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Erica Marvil (Freshman) was 6-11 from 3 point land and Bethany Humenik chipped in with 10. Neumann loses alot with graduation but they will we back, just need some more depth.  2 straight NCAA appearances will help the recruiting. Good Luck to all the first round winners.

Just thought i'd mention that Marywood has the best video and a great announcer!  Hopefully Del Val will be incorporating video shortly.  Of course, the best is to be at the game, but hey, sometimes ya gotta rely on that video.

I agree Kate about that video.  If you can't get to the game you get to see what happens.  I got to see the end of Cavs men's game.  Wow!  If you can't be there it's great that you can watch it.

Marywood does a good job.  Especially the announcers and the different angles that they offer!!

Can only imagine how amazing the women's and men's basketball games were today between Cabrini and Scranton.  The Cabrini women lost by just three points and Coach Strong now has the D3 Women's Basketball record for number of wins.  The Cabrini men won - i'm sure there's a number of unhappy Scranton posters tonight.  Was following the women's game until the half, then had to start dinner, but congratulations, to both teams actually.  Also to Coach Strong - we still miss the Royals in the MAC.

Congratulations to Marywood's Marielle Thorsen  who hit the 1,000 point mark last week at a game in Florida.  Way to Go!

Posted this on the MAC board, but they ARE your teams, soooo, major congratulations to Cedar Crest College beating Centenary last night 79/75, in major part due to 36 points scored by CC's Lizzy Sunderhaus.  WOW!!!

Congrats to the Lady Cavs.  Blowout win against Neumann.  With the win and a loss by Centenary to Rosemont, Cabrini in driver seat for final playoff spot.  They have a 1 game lead and they have to maintain that.  Need wins against PBU and GMC to guarantee it.  Can still get in if both they and the Lady Cyclones finish 1-1.  Centenary has Keystone at home and Marywood on the road.  Centenary owns the head to head, so if they are tied, Centenary gets in.  Marywood hopefully will help because if they want that 2nd seed over BBC and get home court in semis they need to win these games.

Playoffs start tonight.  Lady Knights travel to Immaculata and Lady Cavs travel to Marywood.  Neumann has played IU twice and split winning at home.  But this game is on the road.  Cabrini has played Marywood 1x and has won at home.  Lady Cavs have played well over the last few games.  Just hope it's the team that played GMC and Neumann well.  Not the team that played Rosemont on the road.

GO CAVS!!!

You're the best fan & poster, Mailsy, but tonight i'll be rooting for the Pacers & Belvidere High School's own Marielle Thorsen!  Also, major congratulations to the Cabrini Men - quite a team you've got there - GOOD Luck!!!
