Men and Women both win. Cabrini still only school in the conference to have men and women win titles in same year.

Lady Cavs traveling to DC to take on Catholic. Only common opponent was Scranton. Catholic beat Scranton 3 times by an average of almost 18 pts a game. Lady Cavs lost at Scranton early in season by 4.

 Catholic is a solid, senior-experienced club, tough on defense. They have a good shotblocker(Orwunna), a decent PG(Grabiak) who can make 3s, a complete, smart, player(Woerner), and the other 2 starters(McGann,Josephson) add quickness and toughness. Briones does a good job as the key reserve.
  While Coach Kate was among my top 5 all-time Lady Royals, I'll have to stick with my Landmark champs and not give you any more info.

Lady Cavs ranked 18th in the DIII News preseason top 25. That's great for the program. Let the season begin!

  Yes, great for the program, but it puts a target on their backs. I researched their roster to see who Coach Kate brought in this year, but the new roster hasn't been posted. I'll check them out in the pre-Thanksgiving game with the Lady Royals.

I was actually looking forward to both men and women's games on 11/26. However, my scheduled just changed and I won't be able to see the women's game and I'll probably be late for the men's game. Not happy about that.

I ran into Coach Kate Friday while she was scouting Scranton and Gwynedd-Mercy and I think she'll be a bigger factor of how well they play defensively.

congratulations to Sandone for scoring her 100th point ....a nice balanced defensive win for the Lady Cavs, their defense was key forcing turnovers despite shooting 42 %.....Saturday will be their home debut against a ranked Widener, should be interesting.
