Juniata is a Pool B team. Gwynedd-Mercy is not eligible to be selected in comparison to Juniata.

Pat could you please tell me how your eligible to be selected for Pool B? Thanks

TC HOOPS

TC -- none of those things you cite are part of the selection criteria, unfortunately.

GMC can't do anything about the ever-diminishing strength of its league. But if it's that weak, GMC should win it. What it can do is win the games against other playoff contenders. Head-to-head losses to TCNJ, Marymount and Albright keep GMC off of our projected board until it's too late for them to get in.

Then what kind of criteria can have Bowdoin in the field of 63 with an 18-8 record?

I see out of their 8 losses they lost to 4 teams that made it to the field of 63 but they lost in those 4 games by 19, 20, 24 and 27 points and their other 4 losses were by 19, 13, 10 and 4 points. They beat 2 teams in the field of 63, Colby-Sawer on Dec 6, weak team. And they beat Amherst who ended up beating them by 24 points in the Championship game.

Now PLEASE teall me how a team losses their Championship game by 24 points and losses 8 games during the year and is blown out in almost all of them gets into the field of 63??????

Hey its GREAT to play a tough schedule like that but mix in a W once in awhile. Its a JOKE a team like that gets in just because of its name.

One of these days the "Guru" here at D3 is going to realize that as bad as the PAC may appear, the top 3 PAC teams will ALWAYS go toe to toe with anyone in the MAC, Centennial & NJAC and most of the other Division 3 schools in the country..... when it win or go home !!!!!!

Going toe to toe is one thing. Beating them is key. There's no "toe-to-toe" column in the standings that I've ever seen.

Please. The odds are if you play 8 teams that make the Tournament if your half way decent you will LUCK out one time and win one of them. Then they get BLOWN out by 24 to them in the Championship and still get in is a JOKE.

Maybe they should use COMMON sence and look at "toe to toe". There is NO way that a team that has lost 8 games this year and 7 of them by double digits and lets not forget an OT win against a 12-12 team that could have given them 9 loses for the year should EVER EVER get into the NCAA Playoffs.

So what your saying ever team should try to schedule at least 8 teams that have a shot at the Tournament and if you can sneak out two or one win your in. Tell those people to do some more homework and not just put the SAME teams in year after year because of their Rep.

An 18-8 record should NEVER see the Tournament unless you win your league!!!!!!!!

Just another SLAP in GMC face. Please someone tell me how Karen Tierney did not get Player of the Year??? I don't mean to take anything away from Hughes because she is a good player but PLEASE. If anyone seen the playoff games where it counts Tierney averaged 25 points and 10 asst. in the playoffs. I know its not just the playoffs that count but during the regular season she plays less then half the game against MOST of the teams because they are up by a lot. So its not all about the numbers, that can be VERY misleading. You have to look at what they do in BIG games. The 3 best teams in the PAC are Cabrini, GMC and Alvernia and Cabrini has 3 players out of the 16, that's not bad but GMC has 2 and Alvernia ONLY has 1 and Misericordia gets 3, 2 of them on first team and coach of the year??? Did I miss something, did they even get to the Championship game???? Go figure.

But nothing the Pac does should shock me...

Perhaps the coaches get a negative perception of GMC women's basketball from somewhere.

As always, the PAC post-season awards are voted on prior to the post-season.

Alvernia was not one of the top three teams in the PAC this year.

Misericordia finished second in the North and was the third seed in the playoffs.  They beat Cabrini during the regular season and lost in OT at Cabrini in the semifinals.

Hughes and Morrison have been All-PAC players since their freshman season.  They are certainly two of the top players in the league and Hughes is a legitimate POTY candidate.

DeGraw had a breakout season and is probably placed where she should be.

Lil Nasty

Lil Nasty

THEY GOT BEAT BY 18 AND 12.

I GUESS GMC STINKS.I HOPE GMC COACHES RUN IT UP ON EVERY TEAM THEY CAN. BECAUSE ITS ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS.
PLEASE SENT THIS TO THE PAC TEAM.
