Lil Nasty

Well Shirley I asked you a question and you answered it by saying nothing at all  8)

lefty2

Shirley?

Mr./Mrs./Ms. Tierney,

I'm not sure what your problem with me is, but I'm not looking to argue with anyone in this forum, especially family members of players.

I posted the All-PAC team and in response to another post, I added some facts about some Misericordia players.

If you've got a question for me, I'll try to answer it.

But, I don't deserve your rants and I won't respond to them

As always, the PAC post-season awards are voted on prior to the post-season.

Alvernia was not one of the top three teams in the PAC this year.

Misericordia finished second in the North and was the third seed in the playoffs.  They beat Cabrini during the regular season and lost in OT at Cabrini in the semifinals.

Hughes and Morrison have been All-PAC players since their freshman season.  They are certainly two of the top players in the league and Hughes is a legitimate POTY candidate.

DeGraw had a breakout season and is probably placed where she should be.

I know when they pick the Pac awards.

There is NO question that Alvernia was a better team then Misercordia at the end of the year. Ask any coach in the league.

If Hughes and Morrison are so good how come they couldn't beat GMC just ONCE in their 4 years?

And you would think a team that has 2 players on first team and 1 on honorable mention and lets not leave out the coach of the year would have finished better then 3rd.

Last year GMC went undefeated in the PAC for the 2nd straight year and ONLY had one player on first team. Its a JOKE how its picked, its all based on STATS where kids on teams like Misercordia play 37 min and take 20 shots while the better teams in the Pac have their better players ONLY playing 20 min because they are up by 20 or 30 by the half.

Put Tierney on Misercordia and she would avg 25 a game.

If GMC plays Misercordia in the ECAC we will see who the MVP should have been.

Tierney will get her 1,000 point on Saturday, she is only 3 away.

lefty2, CALM down, no one is ranting. We just added some facts about their record against GMC. And they are all FACTS.

Mr./Mrs./Ms./Friend/Player/Uncle/Neighbor/McLuven/Nasty don't have a problem with you unless you were one of the voters.

I am just confused how the point guard and top player of a team that is 48-1 in the PAC with her as a starter can't get named league MVP in her senior year? Please answer that question.

lefty2

I'd say a few of the previous posts by Lil Nasty qualified as rants.

I don't have an answer to your question.  I don't vote.

But, I'm not going to apologize for the Misericordia players and coach that were selected.

The fact that Misericordia hasn't beaten GMC in several years doesn't lessen their accomplishments as individual players.

For the record, Hughes, Morrison and DeGraw all averaged between 32.3-34.6 minutes per game this year.

According to the GMC website, three of their top four players, Tierney, Cramp and Strohecker averaged between 26.9-29.0 minutes.

The person who says something can't be done shouldn't stand in the way of the one who's doing it.

Nor should you apologize, I never said they were not good players. I just stated Tierney is better.

But thanks for the info on the minutes a game, I thought it was more. I will have to look at the amount of the shots taken in that time.

Just want you to know, I don't mean to take anything away from how much Misericordia has improved over the years and it goes hand in hand with Hughes, Morrison and DeGraw. Goodluck in the ECAC.

WOW THAT WAS A REALLY GOOD COME BACK. I PUT IT IN CAPS IN THE HOPE YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS SAYING. NOW THAT I PUT THE FACTS OUT THERE, YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO SAY THEN " SHIFT KEY" i MUST SAY YOU ARE PRETTY CLEVER :'( :'(

Actually -- all caps is considered shouting, and it is contrary to our Terms of Service. We'll remove further posts from you that contain all caps.

Im sorry about the all caps, I didn't realize it meant I was shouting that was not my intension.  I just want people to understand where I am coming from. As for the question I asked you lefty 2 it was if you had to take one player for one year who would you pick? Tierney is by far the best player in the league, I just wish she would be noticed for that.   ;D

lefty2

I saw nine PAC teams play one game and in all honesty, I didn't see anyone who jumped out at me as a clear-cut Player of the Year.

I think the kid from Centenary had the best game of any opponent that I can remember.

One of these days the "Guru" here at D3 is going to realize that as bad as the PAC may appear, the top 3 PAC teams will ALWAYS go toe to toe with anyone in the MAC, Centennial & NJAC and most of the other Division 3 schools in the country..... when it win or go home !!!!!!

Going toe to toe is one thing. Beating them is key. There's no "toe-to-toe" column in the standings that I've ever seen.

Hey Pat every year you tell me how weak the PAC is and I tell you that usually the Top 2 or 3 teams can play with anyone. I know the bottom teams in the league are horrible but they are just as bad in every other league.

Last night GMC played Lake Erie from the AMCC league in the ECAC and GMC won 87-75 and it wasn't that close.

Now I seen you picked Medaille who is also in the AMCC as your Cinderella team to make it into the sweet 16. Now Lake Erie finished 2nd in that POWER HOUSE AMCC behind Medaille who strugled to beat Lake Erie twice, 69-60 and 71-62 both by 9 points.

So what I am trying to say is that every league has 1 to 3 good teams, some have 1 to 2 great teams but for the most part the bottom teams in EVERY league stink in D-3 womens hoops.

I just know there is no difference between teams like Medaille and GMC, except GMC blew their Championship game and didn't get into the NCAA because they play in the PAC and there was no way they were going to get an at large bid even though they prove themselfs every year they get into the tournament.

How do I get the feeling that if GMC got in this year that you were going to pick them as your Cinderella team!!! HAHAHAHA.

Perhaps the coaches get a negative perception of GMC women's basketball from somewhere.

That's what  happens when you beat almost every team by 20 year after year.

Pat Coleman

TC -- you have no idea what you're talking about. You're just throwing stuff against the wall to see what sticks, and nothing does. You've got no idea what you're talking about.

I mean, gosh, congrats on a home win against a 16-11 team. Wow. That's huge. Now you'll get into the Top 20, for sure.

Medaille took care of business and won its league. If it didn't win its league, it might not have gotten in.

Oh, except for the fact (facts are important, not just bluster) that Medaille had a win against a regionally ranked team, on the road no less. That's something that GMC still lacked.

It's not what happens when parents get on the board and cry about a lack of respect? My bad.

Now do you see what we are talking about lefty2? If you have 2 girls on your team voted 1st team All League and one being the Player of the year along with another girl making honorable mention and lets not leave out Coach of the year. You can't lose the first round game in the ECAC by 16 points.

We all know who the Player of the Year was. It's a shame coaches don't do their homework. Most coaches in the league HATE teams like GMC and Alvernia and won't vote for their players because they win the league YEAR AFTER YEAR. (exception, this year)

GOODLUCK Cabrini, show them the TOP teams in the PAC can play!!!!!!

No one is CRYING (woops that's in CAPS am I in trouble??)

If coaches look at what's on this board and vote that way they are as clueless as you.

You picked Medaille last year too. Are you too LAZY to do your homework or are you just going to keep picking them till they win?

Just because they won a 1 BIG GAME, I can see how much better then are. You should pick them to win it all after that huge win.

I looked at the 2nd place team in their league and seen that we were MUCH better, that's a FACT, don't let facts get in your way, you never do.
