According to the tournament guide the seedings are determined by a vote of the head coaches just prior to the tournament. Don't know how the "vote" is turned into a seeding though.

I don't know, but I'm guessing the vote works kind of like preseason polls, where the coaches rank the teams 1-8, and the one with the most points gets the No. 1 seed and so on.

I think it should be a lot of fun tonight with Fisher and Naz in the Chase final. It is always a fun game to watch when the two teams get together. I just hope the crowds show up to get some emotion in the building. Last night was a good win for Fisher, but the place seemed kind of quiet to me.
GO FISHER!!!

#4 Fisher wins the J.P. Morgan Chase Scholarship Tournament with a 76-71 over rival #7 Nazareth. Fisher with five guys in double-digits: Newman (17), Witte (14), Gettings (12), Wopperer (10), and Franklin (10). Naz led by Corey MacAdam who goes for 21 pts, 8 assts and 5 rebs. Ryan MacAdam with 15 and freshman Jordan Major with 13 off the bench for the Golden Flyers. Naz spends most of the second half rallying, cutting it to two at one point and later tying it with 3:35 left before Fisher pulls away.

One of the Reasons i would like to start this new topic is... Because i think the Wendys classic is the best tournament in the Country and will be One of the most Memorable tournaments in a long time. With Nazareth, RIT, Rochester, St John Fisher, Brockport, Hobart, Geneseo, and Roberts Wesleyan having very good teams this year!!! The Tournament director is the former great Nazareth Coach Mike Daley. Please share what you think about the Tournament this year.. PREDICTIONS, RANKING OR JUST RANDOM COMMENTS ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE TEAMS.

Congratulations to the Brockport Golden Eagles who defeated Roberts Wesleyan 81-52 to win the Championship of the Wendy's College Classic Basketball Tournament.

The Golden Eagles made it look easy as they beat every opponent they faced by a double digit margin. The 1st round was a win over RIT 83-61. The semi-finals saw them dispose of St John Fisher 73-61 and the final was the 29 point win over Roberts Wesleyan who had 2 nice wins over Nazareth and Rochester.

John Ivy was the leading scorer for the Golden Eagles in the tournament with 50 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Caruthers had 36 points and 13 assists in the 3 games. Matt Lee totaled 25 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists. Patrick Coyle managed 30 points and 24 rebounds during tournament play.

I'm guessing that Ivy was the MVP and both he and Caruthers were on the All Tournament Team.
