Looks like Catholic and Scranton are rising to the top here.

The Championship Weekend will again take place on Campus at the University of Scranton.

Did not see E town winning it!!!Scranton pitching was no where to be found the last 3 games or bats just in the tournament 18 runs that's alot.Well good luck E town represent the Landmark well.Im not sure how they pick the at large bids in baseball but  hopefully the Royals get in but there last 3 games were horrendous 13-12F&M ,SUS 10-7 and Catholic 8-6 yikes I understand 28-12-1 but a team 20-20 won your league thar you should have and Susquehanna with a worse record beat you !But anyways frustration and good luck hope the Royals get in.

NEPAFAN

Yeah not ideal results for the weekend, but they are headed in the right direction.

Royals didn't get selected for at-large spot; Catholic did. Problem in the Susquehanna loss was fielding(8 unearned runs), not pitching.

I wonder if one win over the weekend would have gotten them in.

Possibly, but Catholic was ahead of them in the regional rankings; probably needed to either beat Catholic in the loser's bracket game or have Catholic win the AQ vice Etown.

Probably not -- F&M and Cabrini were also ahead of Scranton in the pecking order:

Article today in The Washington Post on Catholic in the baseball World Series; mentions former players Brian Cashman(Yankees' GM) and Matt Kurkjian(brother of ESPN analyst Tim). I remember attending a clinic given by HC Ross Natoli for coaches of youth baseball 37 years ago when he was still at GW.

I'd post this on the baseball board but it doesn't appear many people even go there.
Therefore, posting my thoughts here...
FloSports sucks!
Literally 5 seconds after the Royals defeated E-town for the Landmark championship, good old FloSports pulled the plug.
No opportunity to see the kids celebrate.
No chance to see the trophy presented.
No opportunity to see the kids happy...just pulled right off the air.
I truly hope the Commish of the Landmark has some serious conversations with them as their service is horrific.
Congrats Royals!

The schools make that call.  From what I know, Flo would love for them to do pre and post game coverage.  Usually the broadcast limits are driven by availability to student workers - I'm guessing this is post-commencement, so they're running thin.  Likely an SID with too many places to be.

I'm 99.9% certain Flo is not cutting anything short.  They want as much on-air time as possible.  The SIDs I spoke with told me Flo is constantly asking them to have the stream up longer.

I just watched the end of the game, thru the mvp and trophy presentation. The replay of the stream has it all.

Saratoga,
A baseball tourney question re a 3-day double-elimination tourney (where a starting pitcher will only be starting 1 game in the 3 days) for u as a former college HC; I was thinking of this before the Landmark tourney but it probably could be in play for the NCAA tourney coming up: Scranton was to face the Landmark's dominant pitcher(Catholic's Tozzi) in the 1st game; would u pitch your best (Dan Johnson) in the 2nd game instead of the 1st to have a better chance of winning that 2nd game?

Ronk:
There is certainly merit to your question & how to attack against a dominate pitcher in a double elimination series is always up for debate.
Personally, I'd send my best pitcher up against him & if he doesn't have it, get him out early.
By throwing my second or third best pitcher, to me, sends the wrong message to the team & there is no guarantee my number 1 gets a win in the elimination game.
Now if my number two pitcher is a lefty & the team we're opening up with has several good left handed hitters & there is a very fine line between my 1 & 2 pitchers, I may go that route.
However, in general...make them beat your best.

NEPA:
Glad to hear you got to see the post game festivities.
Guess I'll watch the replay.
Usually the Royal home broadcasts go on for 5-10 minutes after regular season games so was very surprised with this abrupt ending.

Great Day:
Indeed it was!

Great Day to be a Royal

The coach in me is matching ace-ace. I agree with Ronk. Sends wrong message. Your #1 should feel he can beat anyone on any night. Heck, your 3 should feel he can beat anyone, any night.
