The men's side had a similar problem last year with an ineligible player at Grinnell. Makes for a weird conference situation. If the games are changed to non-conference I think that makes the most sense.

LU to look for new coach.

On an unrelated note Lawrence forfeited a win earlier in the season due to an ineligible player. Had spent the whole season wondering why the conference website was "off" by a game. They weren't, I was.

Lawrence frosh Kenya Earl set a new single season scoring record for the Vikings last night reaching 415 with one game remaining. Career record is 1487 held by Claire Getzoff, class of 2006.

The next coach at LU will not face an empty cupboard.

The NCAA released the third set of women's basketball regional rankings with few changes from last week's version. This is the final set that we'll see before the Tournament bracket is released on Monday. Full list here: http://d3hoops.com/notables/2018/02/women-regional-rankings-third

So, what's up with SNC this season? Starting 1-4 in conference and 2-10 overall is not what I expected. Hangover from last year's lost season? Injuries?

After 42 seasons  - she was hired when Carter was president, and Schuldes/Mulva hadn't been built yet - Connie Tilley is retiring at the end of the season.

Tilley is currently seventh all-time in Division III women's basketball coaching wins. Through Jan. 2, Tilley has a 684-307 career record and led St. Norbert to 18 conference titles, 14 NCAA Division III Tournament appearances and one Final Four in 1985. Four of her basketball teams advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament Sweet 16, most recently in 2003. Tilley is Wisconsin's all-time winningest collegiate women's basketball coach.

Her career record in all sports combined is 1,012-505 for a .667 winning percentage with 24 overall conference titles. In 61 sports seasons, Tilley has had only five records below .500.

Wow. Tilly has been a fixture, and she has impacted a whole lot of other coaches that went on to success.
