Quote from: Ryan Scott (Hoops Fan) on April 03, 2024, 10:35:08 AMNew Paltz announced they'll be leaving the SUNYAC for an as-yet undetermined conference in 26-27.

Wow I am surprised that they would leap before having a destination in mind.

If the NJAC would change its bylaws to allow full members from outside New Jersey, they might fit there.

The Little East is too far-flung and I'd hate to see them slum it in the Skyline.

Anyone have a link to the NJAC bylaws stating they won't allow someone outside New Jersey?

Could be a MAC fit. Maybe even the Landmark.

Ferrum is going D2. They didn't apply for D2 membership this February and they're joining Conference Carolinas in 2025, so they won't have a lame-duck D3 year like Sul Ross State had.

The point on the NJAC could be same for a conference like MASCAC. All public schools.

The MASCAC will be adding Anna Maria in 2025.  They will be the only private college in the core membership

If Liberty league went ta  east west divisions like it does in baseball, New Paltz would certainly welcome a invite. The east division with Vasaar and Bard are very close to New Paltz. Skidmore Union and RPI are close as well. They have played Bard and Vasaar and Skidmore the last couple of years and are very competitive, I would assume they would have had to have some sort of behind the scenes invite from someone to state that they were leaving. The Skyline conference would be a step down I would think but a busied to Long Island , i guess is better then the trip to Fredonia.

Great Day to be a Royal

Just saw Keystone has put plan out in case of closure as per PAhomepage.com & WBRE

Agreed. It sounded like LeTourneau had had an opportunity previously to do this and had opted to stick it out, but they simply couldn't keep ignoring what's right in front of them.

Yes, travel advantages look quite beneficial. As for mission and vision, and looking from 1100 miles away, are not the NCAC and PresAC relatively similar?

The NCAC styles itself as a group of more academically elite institutions. All institutions have to have a PBK chapter, for example.

PBK used to be the case, but neither Rose nor John Carroll have PBK chapters.
