Mr. Ypsi

I'm back, and like what I'm seeing!  After 5, IWU up 6-5.

You might need to leave again, Mr. Ypsi.  The Titans need some more runs  ;D ;D ;D

So much for your "Mr. Ypsi is a jinx" theory!  My first inning back the Titans tack on 5 more; now lead 11-5 after 6. ;D

Mr. Ypsi

Joe Froelich may be running out of gas.  In his first four innings, he yielded two hits, no runs.  In the 7th, he yielded two singles and a 3-run HR.

Lead down to 11-8, going to the bottom of the 7th.

Mr. Ypsi

Lead back to 6; 14-8 with three outs to go.

Mr. Ypsi

I guess the seventh was a false alarm.  Froelich gave up a two out single in the 8th, got 'em 1,2,3 in the 9th.

Titans win, 14-8.  They'll play the winner of Webster/RHIT at 7 this evening - the winner of that game will be the only remaining undefeated team, and clearly in the driver's seat.

IWU WINS AGAIN! With plenty of arms available and hot bats, you have got to love the Titans chances.

The perfect situation seems to be happening for the Titans. They have used only 3 pitchers through two games, and with yesterdays rain day, that may open the door for Pankau to throw on Sunday as he only threw 100 pitches on Wednesday.

OK. Pending weather (which should be all right now, if you trust the forecast), the times for the rest of the tournament will be:

Tomorrow's Games:
11:00 a.m.
2:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m.

Sunday:
11:00 a.m.
2:30 p.m. (if needed)

The tourney site has been updated.  The schedule dansand posted is correct - IWU vs. the Webster/RHIT winner is tomorrow at 11, not tonite at 7 as earlier listed.  This makes more sense - what used to be Friday is now Saturday, and Saturday has been moved to Sunday.  (While us retired guys could care less, I bet many of you wish Mondays could so easily be moved! ;D)

Mr. Ypsi

Webster off to a good start.  A solo HR in the first, and three straight 2-out singles in the second have them up 2-0 after 2.

Mr. Ypsi

What's with the vaunted RHIT offense?  Thru four innings, David Mueller has held them to one single!

Webster up 2-0, middle of the 4th.

RSSmith

A walk is never as good as a hit!

Mr. Ypsi

David Mueller has been masterful - 3 hits in 8 innings.  RHIT got a run in the 7th on a double, ground out, and wild pitch, but in the bottom of the 8th it's Webster 4, RHIT 1.

Mr. Ypsi

Webster's Victor Valdez is having the game of a lifetime.  A solo shot in the first, and now a 3-run tater in the 8th!  Webster now up 7-1 with just the ninth to go.
