Carthage wins it 5-3 but another 4 errors :'( I am not sure thery can continue to play poor defense and win another game in this regional.

Coe is the first #1 seed eliminated.

Mr. Ypsi

BV draws first blood - up 1-0 after 1.5 innings.

It always feels weird to see your team as the visitors on their home field! :P

Mr. Ypsi

BV up 4-1 after 5.  Joe Sweeney doing his job, but sloppy defense has led to 2 unearned runs.

Mr. Ypsi

Looking grim - after 7.5, BV still up 4-1.  They have 9 outs to work with; we've only got 6.

Time for a patented IWU BIG inning! ;)

Mr. Ypsi

Barring a HUGE 9th by IWU, BV will be the only remaining undefeated team.  In the bottom of the 8th, they got double, single, single, SF - two runs in (man on third, two outs).  They're up 7-1.

Mr. Ypsi

No miracle comeback this time - BV wins 7-1.

Tomorrow:

10am (CDT): Ripon vs. IWU [elimination game]

1:30: Carthage vs. Thomas More [elimination game]

5: BV vs. Ripon/IWU winner

We plan to see you tomorrow evening, BV!  Revenge is sweet! ;D

[And go Carthage - Saturday revenge would also be sweet! ;)]

[I'm actually quaking in my boots (and should go change my shorts), but I like to talk a good game! ;D  An all-CCIW final sounds good to me!]

Oh, and congratulations Carthage - at least we don't have to fear an all IIAC final! :D

BigPoppa

IWU is about to to blow this game open... Bases loaded with no out in 7th. Up 2-0 on Ripon.

Looks like a snowball fight broke out in Bloomington, as Ripon has given up a pair of runs on two seperate throwing errors, and IWU now leads 6-0.

Titans win it, 7-1.

They'll have a rematch with BV in the last game today (5 CDT).

CCIWFAN6

With IWU forcing the rematch against BV, I would assume McCullough will get the nod.  He is 3-0 on the season with a 6.07 era in 29 innings.

Can't believe I am about to say this... "Go Titans" (I expect to burn in hell for that)

I'll return the sentiment - Go RedMen.  Let's have an all-CCIW final!

Ypsi- I guess since the "world is ending tomorrow" it is just another sign of the end of times ;D

Carthage scores a run in the top of the 1st on Hodges single.

1-0 RedMen

Any thoughts on why Thomas More started Etscheid?  He's thrown relief in the last two regional games.
