Welcome to the board Falcon25!

Saint, respectfully I have to disagree with you on a few picks. I think there is going to be an upset tomorrow night. I was curious the other day after Lasell's last regular season game so I checked the box score. Armin Omanovic did not play so I did a little digging. Terrible news for Lasell and for Armin as it looks like he tore his ACL a few games ago and is done for the season. For a senior this is just terrible news. No ones career should have to come to an end like this but unfortanatley injuries are a big part of the game and this injury particulary clearly is going to affect this team.

So with that, here are my picks.......

Tuesday

Albertus 94 Ann Maria 72
JWU 81 Suffolk 75
Emmanuel 82 Lasell 79 (UPSET)
Mt Ida 72 St Joes 60

Thursday

Albertus 92 JWU 79
Mt Ida 86 Emmanuel 73

Saturday

Albertus 98 Mt Ida 77

Congrats to Coach Oliver and the falcons on a regular season GNAC title. This has been an impressive job by Mitch, inconsistency with roster due to injuries has kept this team from really dominating like in the past. I don't see any upsets either in the first round.

Saint: Mt. Ida would play Albertus in second round. I could see Lasell, Albertus or JWU winning the tournament.

Walters has been amazing. Ellis is clutch. I like Coleman. If those three get it going, Albertus will be tough to beat in New Haven.

Thanks, Junkie!

Terrible news on Armin!! He is the  best guard in the league! He makes Lasell such an excellent team &
this will hurt, but I still say Lasell finds their way to the final against Albertus.
GO FALCONS!

That is shocking news about Omanovic. You are correct, he did not appear in the last box score. I looked up his last three games before the injury and he had 37, 37, and 34.  Will someone on Lasell step up and fill those numbers?  Lasell is still a good team but the loss of Omanovic will make it an even game.  Will have to watch to see what happens.  I thought Mt Ida did a very nice job this year of stepping up into one of the top four spots in the conference.  Early in the year St Joe was playing well but mid way through January they started to falter, and Mt Ida really stepped up their performance to grab the fourth playoff spot.  Yes, Mt Ida may be the dark horse in this years tournament.  Good luck to all your teams.

Albertus wouldn't play JWU until finals not in semis.

Lasell held on for the win, 76 - 74, but they did not look great.  Lasell looked tentative on offense, passing up shots hoping someone else would shoot the ball.  Their transition game was not strong and their decision making was questionable.  They really looked like they missed their leader and team captain.  Saints on the other hand, playing free and easy, without pressure, with nothing to lose, looked like they were going to pull off the upset.  Saints blew an 8 point lead with 3 minutes to play but made a lot of shots that they would ordinarily have missed, just to keep the game close.  With 29 seconds to play and down by 2 points, Saints came out of a time out and could not even execute a play correctly.  Possibly the biggest possession of the year and they did not get a clean shot at the basket.
Saints lose their 18 th game of the year.  Saints coach gets his 200 th career loss in just 13 seasons.  The double digit loss seasons are really starting to pile up, with no light at the end of the tunnel.

Falcons 25

Just got back from the Albertus game vs Anna Maria. The Falcons intensity, on both sides of the ball, decided this game early on. Walters had his usual double-double. Shaq Mitchell played GREAT DEFENSE & provided consistent outside scoring. Last, but certainly not least, LIAM PERRYMAN
is growing into a real good center, with a HIGH CEILING!
NEXT UP, MT. IDA!  See you Thursday!

Crazy night in the GNAC!

Albertus took care of business and beat Anna Maria

Looked like a great game between St. Joes and Mt Ida. Looks like Mt. Idas athleticism took over late in the game giving them a big first round victory

As Saint already pointed out, it looked like Emmanuel had this game won but a few bad possessions at the end of the game allowed Lasell to come out with the W

JWU was all over Suffolk from start to finish and got the much expected victory

Semi Finals should be pretty interesting. Although I think both higher seeds come out on top.

Albertus 91 Mt Ida 79
JWU 84 Lasell 71

This would setup a GNAC tournament final between Albertus and JWU........What a shocker!! LOL

Albertus handled Mt Ida at home just a week ago with ease. This Mt Ida team is much more athletic than teams give them credit for and they could be dangerous but I just dont see how there is any way Coach Oliver and this Albertus team loses on their home court. There isnt a tougher place to play in The GNAC then THE NEST!!!

LETS PACK THE NEST TONIGHT FALCON FANS!!!!!!!

Big Semi Final matchup tonight for the Falcons! Hopefully Devin Coleman and Damien Grant are both healthy for this game. It would be reassuring to see Coleman log more minutes over (hopefully) the next few games! He needs to find his range again! Time off for shooters is never a good thing!

Saint-Paul

Saw the Lasell - JWU box score.  Cannot figure out how Lasell won this game.  JWU was leading 35 - 23 at half.  Lasell shot 9 % from the 3 point line for the game and 39% overall.  JWU took 25 free throws.  How did JWU end up losing this game?

Falcons 25

Lasell won due to a 52-35 rebounding edge. Too, check out the second chance points.
Lasell is a very worthy opponent for A.M.C. on Saturday. That said, if Albertus keeps
playing with the intensity I have seen the last 2 games, this game will be over at halftime!

falcons2010

Albertus is playing its best basketball right now. I like the team chemistry. I think if everyone is healthy than Albertus wins  at home. They are so tough there.

What a comeback by Lasell. They dominatedbthe glass and got second chance points!

Which team will show up in New Haven on Saturday? A team who is playing with house money and confidence or a team without its best player and just happy to be there? If the latter shows up this game will be over by halftime.

This will be coach Oliver's 7 GNAC championship game; he is 5-1 currently.
