Albertus was outhustled to every loose ball in second half. They had enough davis, Watson, and vic on offense to win and made a few key stops within 4 mins left. But, were outplayed in second half..

Nevertheless, Albertus gets a road conference win.

SUNY Purchase wins also, they were at home vs St. Joes LI and won by 5, 68-63.

The #14 ranked purchase comes to New Haven undefeated to play the #20 falcons on Monday night.

Great updates today boys. Don't know what I would've done without all of ya LOL. It looks like it was the tale of two halfs but as pj mentioned a win is a win.

SUNY Purchase on Monday night. The last two games for Purchase have been very close score wise against inferior teams. This leads me to believe that they may not be playing their best basketball right now but who knows. I havent seen them play so I dont want to pass judgment. Having the game in New Haven is a HUGE adavantage as well. This game is going to be awesome!!

I saw them for about 15 minutes against Eastern Connecticut the opening week.  Granted, that was the second day of the season, and Albertus is no Eastern, but Purchase beat them up pretty bad from what I saw.  The final score doesn't indicate it, but I think Purchase was up by 15 or so with about 7 or 8 minutes to play in the game.

7, I was just reading the box score.. you are right, early in the year but the 7 footer Narni didn't play. They had a freshmen score 21, he hasn't played more than 10 minutes in any of the last 4 games. Purchase is a team that is playing 6 deep right now, running everything through Dixon and Narni. They have a pg who doesn't take a lot of shots, but doesn't have a lot of assist either. And they have a senior forward who is a beast on the glass, avg 10 boards a game. They play a zone and are long.

Should be a good one in New Haven.

No problem junkie!

Me and pj were watching purchase online against Sage, they are long and seemed to be playing a 2-3 the whole game. This game is gonna be fun. As far as yday, and I know were such homers here lol, but it's almost as if after the first half and being up 17 albertus got bored. Sounds stupid, but the only time they played with urgency is when it would get to 8 or 9 points the lead, then they kicked it up. We'll see. I think wiggins will be key Monday if purchase is in a 2-3. Kid is on fire!

Saint-Paul

Final Score :  Suffolk  88  /  Emmanuel  94

I had a feeling that this would be a pretty even game in terms of size and foot speed and it turned out to be just that.  For once the Saints were not overmatched either in the paint or on the perimeter.  Once again, playing away from home the Saints shot much better, 49% for the game.  Very strange game plan for the Saints.  Again they started out in their full court man press giving up easy transition baskets and wide open 3 point shots to the Rams. The Saints are just not a good man to man defensive team.  Not sure why the coach is being so stubborn about that, after 16 games that is not a hard concept to understand.  They gave up 51 points in the first half to Suffolk.  The Rams kept running their 1 - 4 high post offense with the UCLA shuffle cut and the on ball screen opening easy driving lanes and wide open jump shots.  This set gave the Saints man defense fits all through the first half. Finally, after they were down 15 points in the second half the Saints stopped pressing and switched to a 3 - 2 zone and went on a 24 - 5 run to take a 4 point lead with less than 1 minute remaining.  They made their foul shots and got out of there with a nice win.  The team looks loose and relaxed when they are not playing at home. Once they stop giving up driving lanes and wide open threes they look like a college level team. Don't understand why they keep returning to that full court man press to start every game.

Albertus has a little blurp on the website about tommorows big Top 25 contest. From what Im hearing it is going to be an absolute packed house as well which will be great. This may be that game gentleman that not only shows how good the Falcons are but also may really jump start the home crowd and propel this team for the remainder of the season. What a confidence booster this would be.

At home I think the 2-3 zone defense played by Purchase is going to work in Albertus favor because of there ability to hit shots from the outside and Eian Davis unbeliavble abilty to get to the whole. I also like there chances because whoever we have flash to the free throwline area (soft spot of the zone) or the baseline whether it be Vic, Lemar or Darius, they are all more than capable of knocking down that little jumper.

Less than 24 hours. I cant wait till tip off. Anyone gonna do a preveiw? Interested in others thoughts. Also GNAC, I know youve done it before so maybe another reachout to the NH Register is in order. If there isnt a little something in the paper tommorow morning  I'm giving up on them LOL
