Absolutely right. Davis is a low to mid major D1 talent.

Thank you CCC, all I was trying do was say that Davis is talented enough, basketball wise, to play at a higher level then d3.

Davis & Watson could've easily played and held their own in a low level D-1 conference like the NEC or Am East, and possibly even a lesser midmajor like the MAAC as well.  Hell, the D-1 school right down the street from me (Sacred Heart), either one of those Albertus guys would've probably been their best or at worst second best player this year.

Thanks 7, that's all I was trying to say before it turned into that mess lol

Watched the Elms / JWU game last night.  Was very surprised how easily Elms outplayed JWU in the first half.  Elms had no problem matching JWU in foot speed, transition baskets, and perimeter shooting. Elms was getting to the rim and finishing much better than JWU. I thought that Barboza made some key plays to keep his team from getting blown out early in the first half when they were down by 12 points.  Glad to see Greenaway and Touze come alive in the second half.  I am use to seeing JWU roll over the bottom 6 GNAC teams, so it is actually a surprise when they get in a competitive game with a non conference opponent.  I guess the lower half of the GNAC fielded some really weak teams this year.  One thing that caught my eye, early in the second half JWU got called for setting a moving flex screen.  That is the first time all year I can remember JWU actually trying to set hard flex screens, and it was good to see them do that. Hope the NCAA tournament games are on live stream this weekend.

Alright boys.. My last post before the game... I have to work in NY tonight and tomorrow and don't have a smart phone or my laptop. So, here it goes...

I think Albertus will be prepared to play WPI. WPI is not at full strength and has struggled over the last 3 weeks. However, this team has won NCAAs games before and has good chemistry. They are a scary team because they know what it takes to win in the NCAAs.

I think Albertus wants to play in the 80s and WPI in the 60s. This is St. Joe's all over again but with much better talent. WPI is bigger and plays sound defense. They can also go to more scoring options than St. Joe's.

So, what does Albertus have to do to win. They need to run and get easy looks at the basket. They need to limit WPI second chance opportunities. Hopefully, if they rebound and run, this will prevent WPI from crashing the boards because they will be worried about their transition defense. Albertus also has to hit their 3 pointers. If Albertus has over 40 points at the half, I think they win the game. I don't think WPI wants to play up and down with Albertus. I think they want to slow them down, play solid defense, and make Albertus defend for 30 seconds.

Should be a fun game.

Go Falcons!

Well the day is upon us. I think it's a coin flip game. WPI is still dangerous even with struggling as of late. The week off certainly helped them get healthy. If WPI knocks down their 3's and hope out to an early lead I think they pull off the W. I think they have to get started fast, WPi and have albertus get out of their rhythm and force some shots. If they allow albertus to get started fast I think albertus cruises. See you there PJ, maybe we can get some autographs after the game   ;D

is Albertus always this selfish? First time really seeing them

CCC, I'm gonna credit WPI with playing outstanding defense. Albertus usually moves it a bit more. What a game, what a win. I think I should stay for Davis autograph after that game he just had. 22 points, 5 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals and a block. Clearly the difference maker

Congrats Magnus fans!  Now go win tomorrow.  Great game tonight.

CCC... Davis really runs the offense well. Albertus is a motion offense, but WPI is so well coached and discpline, they completely forced Albertus into one on one battles. And really the only player they couldn't stop was Davis. They did a great job on Jennings, Watson, Vic L, ad Lersen. Walker and Wiggins were no where to be found. Just a great performance by them. Usually there is a lot of ball movement and open looks. But not tonight. I give all the credit to the coaches and players of WPI.

Thanks WPI.. Hopefully they continue winning. Let's see. Sorry I missed ya at the game.

God Jennings frustrates the crap out of me. I don't mind the shots and misses but after he missed the 3 freebies whenever he'd miss he wouldn't get back on D. Of course the one he knocks down was the biggest bucket of the game as we were down 3.

Yeah CCC we do take our fair share of one-on-one battles but with the way WPI played D and with Darius being hurt I think Davis kinda saw he had to take over and he was giving WPI fits off the dribble.

Another day at the office for Larsen, 9 pts 7 rebs... Timely bucket in the second half on that spin move in the lane.
