I don't know what's worse, the 0-17 season, or playing soccer

Don't you think that's a little uncalled for??

Does it really bother you that much? I'm only ribbing, but if it really is that big a deal then I'm sorry my humor is a bit off. Didn't mean any Ill will. I've had my fair share of bad teams. That is all

Saint-Paul

Game Report  Anna Maria  88  /  Suffolk  79

Watched the video reply of the Amcats game.  This was a much closer game than the score indicates.  At the 30 minute mark the score was tied at 65.  The Amcats did not pull away until the last 5 minutes of the game.  Ever since their big upset over JWU, the Amcats have struggled with the bottom half of the GNAC conference.  They have given up a lot of points to Emmanuel, Lasell, and now Suffolk.  The Amcats can score.  They get good production out of Bradanese,  Franklin, and Delorey, and have a steady point guard, but in the last three games they have not been getting the defensive stops that they need to remain in the top half of the conference.  Bradanese and Franklin led the way with 21 and 17 points to give the Amcats their 12 th conference win.  At the defensive end of the court Suffolk was able to get many open jump shots and also to find open lanes to the rim.  The Amcats zone is just not as aggressive as it was in January.  It is possible that they are playing down to the level of their competition but that is not a good habit to get into, especially at playoff time.  I was picking Anna Maria to be my dark horse for a playoff upset but now I am not so sure.  They will have to pick it up defensively to be a factor in the playoffs.

Of all the things F13 has said that was certainly joke. Coming from an AMC soccer player he's always "hated" us soccer players haha

Ferraro13

Hahahaha thx Dave. Only certain ones lol it most certainly was a joke, I shouldnt of assumed it wouldn't go over as one

Falcons2010, I wish the big east was still around to beat up on your red storm. Lol as far as the "feud," it is what it is. I've never seen the guy say one good thing about Albertus. Not one. complains about their schedule, fine. But don't have Mitch in an interview a few times and never press him about it if that's how you feel. Don't bring up sportsmanship problems with Albertus, and then again ignore it when you have Oliver for an interview.......amh, def a topic of debate for sure

A) I have pressed Mitch about the schedule especially when talking about the SOS... thus the reason I know he has claimed the NESCAC has ducked the team. He stated that when answering the question about the schedule last year. This year, we talked about the fact the SOS is low again and the fact the Purchase game turned into a dud and at the New Jersey City game didn't pan out (in terns of records for both teams). We discussed how the Stockton game was their only significant game. That prompted him to talk about putting into host because despite possibly having a small gym, he figured they had a chance to host when rankings were all said and done. We have certainly talked about scheduling because you can't talk about AMC and rankings without talking about the SOS and thus scheduling.

B) I have had Mitch on the show ONCE since I talked about sportsmanship (for those who need the timeline, the op-ed came at the end of the second weekend and ahead of the championship weekend and thus we didn't have Mitch on the show due to their loss). He was on the show a few weeks ago and since my comments were roughly 10 months prior and I had nothing to discuss on the topic since, I didn't feel I needed to bring it up. Furthermore, I stated my opinion rather publicly and didn't feel I need to bring that back up again. That's not ignoring it - my opinion is rather public.

C) You might need to pay attention more to what I say about AMC. I have never stated they aren't a good team, I just don't think they are as great as others make them out to be. But I have spoken for why they are good and this year talked about their bad luck with two of the games they scheduled that on paper in the off-season looked like good games for them. Those who think I just speak negatively about a team usually don't see the positives but only the negatives.

One thought certainly is interesting... you want me to treat AMC with respect but you don't mind firing a shot across the bow. I understand you are kidding and that is all well in good, but if others thought you weren't... then that is two shots you have taken at me in the last 24 hours and yet I haven't spoken ill towards you once. We can certainly disagree, but I am not stooping to low blows (I know - you were kidding - but others didn't see it that way, clearly).

As for the season... and the sport... that was the most rewarding, challenging, humbling sports experience of my life. Playing the sport I loved (among others) in college is the best experience, period. But I learned a lot about myself, how to be a better teammate, how close a team and your teammates can become (one is my best friend and god father my son and in turn I am to him and his son), and why winning isn't everything. I started three games that season as a goalie (because our-everything starter was injured) and had a shot get past me with 12 seconds left in what was a 0-0 game... and I wouldn't trade it in for anything. That teams was also a single player away from legitimately being a 12-5, or better, squad (long story). Sounds strange... but it is one experience that has made me who I am today.

But you wanting me to treat the team with respect but not treating others in the same manner does... hypocrisy. Don't ask for me to treat AMC with respect and not do the same in turn in conversation.

I'm not asking you to do anything, I just disagree with your points. Thanks for the update on what hypocrisy is though. No one cares if you give albetus respect, I just like to let you know when you are wrong on them. At the end of the day I get to watch albertus with or without your opinion on Albertus. If you can't take the back n forth then stop posting
