we NEED to box out on the defensive end my god

Sanders has looked terrible the last two games. looks like a deer in headlights. basically 5-4 when he's out there. james jennings, you are missed

falcons2010

Good win.... A lot of things to clean up. A lot! It is good to know that Albertus can win a game playing in the 60s. They may need to do that again tomorrow night. But wow.. A lot of things to clean up.

Albertus missed 17 free throws
Albertus went 1-10 from three pointers.. that one was Sledge to make it 7-4
Julian needs to flush this one. Just flush it hard!

No way, Albertus wins tomorrow versus Dickinson (if they beat Regis) playing like this. Springfield got back into the game because they basically dared Albertus to shoot from the perimeter. Vic is so skilled that he made some great passes and jump shots to keep the game at a distance.

Wilson played a great game. No turnover or dumb shots. Played great defense. And moved the ball well around the perimeter.
Walker played a strong second half, great contribution.

I think we now know, 7 guys are playing. The starting 5, Wilson and Walker. Walters saw about 4 minutes in the first.

What did everyone else see?

GNAC, jennings is missed. But, this is what we have.

It is definitely a lackluster performance from Sanders.. Sad to say, we need Jennings and Wiggins back. I like Marc Wilson, reminds me of a more athletic Reaves, Reaves was better and a leader but Wilson has good intangibles. Vic should be considered as the best player in d3 basketball. What a player. Does it all! Winning a game in the 60's.. says a lot about Oliver! Top coach in D3, if they could win games in the 60's, and the 90's, all they need is defense/rebounding and they will be fine. Walters , I love him. Has heart, just raw. I never thought Springfield that great, I think Johnson and Wales would have beat Springfield.  but they played ok. On to the next one people! Let's go GNAC.

Gentleman, I am in Carlysle PA. I couldnt not go to the game! What a win by the Falcons. All around just not the greatest game but good enough to win. I need to start off with one thing. The Springfield parents are an absoulte disgrace to the game of basketball. I have never seen a group of PARENTS so blatantly disrespectful to the opposing team and referees. I was really shocked. Not to mention one of their player shoving our player in the handshake line. Just really shocked by it all. Also how bad Springfield is. The fact that this team is ahead of us in RR rankings is a joke. I am officially done with those rankings. I dont care what anyone says at this point. I really dont.

I stayed to watch the Dickinson/Regis game (all alone with about a thousand Dickinson fans) and I will tell you all right now I didnt see anything from them that blew me away. They have size yes but I am very confident going into tomorrow. The kid Wixted. WOW what an outstanding player. Really a tremdous talent. Will be difficult to stop but we are more of a complete team. Everything and I mean everything runs through Wixted, most of the other guys looked almost like the they didnt even want the ball. They made big shots when they needed to. A really scrappy effort by Regis, at one point I really thought they were going to pull it out.

I am optimistic and really looking forward to tomorrow night. With a game under our belt at this gym on these hoops I am very confident that we will shoot the ball much better tomorrow. If people at D3Hoops actually thought we had to prove ourselves against this Springfield team then I have to say they must have not watched us or Springfield play all season.

I apoligze if there are any typos, iPhones arent the greatest to type on. I had alot of pressure to get out of the door before the wife got home from work. I will most likely be on the couch for the remainder of the week for coming to this weekend but such is life LOL.

BTW I dont want this post to come off as me calling the D3hoops guys out or anybody. Just the Springfield fans. They really got me in a bad mood and I kept my mouth shut the entire time.

Dunk Haven!!

You do understand AMC was ahead of Springfield, right? In the last public rankings, AMC was 7 and Springfield was 9 and I am quite sure AMC got higher in the final rankings and Springfield probably stayed around the same spot - they didn't jump AMC.

Well, I think AMC did have to prove themselves. They had one game that was a test this season against Richard Stockton (now Stockton) and that was back in November. This was a good test to start the post-season run because Springfield is a well coached team. It doesn't matter if we have watched both teams (and I have), it is still a good test. Doesn't mean the test is going to be extremely hard... it's just a different team than AMC has played all season.

At this point, I will be at Dickinson tomorrow... looking forward to it.

Dave- I been following this thread for a long time. I never heard you say anything good about AMC.. I've seen you write some neutral things about AMC but nothing positive/encouraging.. Where does your distain for AMC come from? . They came from nothing, not even thought about and mAde it to the sweet 16 within 5 or 6 years.. For their sake I hope they kill tomorrow. You talk about sos but no one wants to play a GNAC team that will beat them. Tell the NESAC and little east teams to schedule Albertus. Im sure Oliver will love and embrace the game. Amc was 20 points better then Springfield... JWU was 15 points better than Springfield.

Dave 'd-mac' McHugh

You see me write some neutral things... exactly! I am not a fan or an alum supporting AMC... that is the role of the fans, alums, and GNAC followers to do... not my role or job! So yes, neutral or fact-based comments with my opinions based on that information is what I write.

I am not going write glowing report about AMC just for the heck of it. I haven't written anything negative at all this season. What I write is factually based: "they had one game that was a test this season against Richard Stockton and that was back in November." There is nothing negative about that and that is complete fact. There is no disdain. Apparently, unless you write things that are actually glowing about AMC, a person has it out for the team.

By the way, I have AMC #10 in my Top 25 this week, but, again, unless I rave and spout "AMC is the best team that ever walked the earth" I am just being negative. You should see the comments, emails, messages I get for teams I don't even rank!

And you can say JWU was 15 points better than Springfield and that is fine, but JWU's overall resume doesn't indicate that. You can't compare game to game and automatically say it's true. If that were the case, we should stop the tournament now because Defiance just beat the defending national champions... so they must be the champs why are we still playing this tournament?

Furthermore, we can talk about scheduling until the cows come home... but there are other conferences and other teams than the NESCAC and the Little East. Look elsewhere. AMC is not that far from a number of other conferences and teams that could help the SOS. Crying about the NESCAC and the Little East not scheduling is falling on deaf ears. There are ways to solve the scheduling challenge and I am quite sure you will start to see that next season since Oliver is on the Northeast RAC and can probably have a better understanding of how to fix the problem.

Pat Coleman

I know enough from working with my fourth grader's algebra that if Johnson and Wales is 15 points better than Springfield then they would be 10 points better than Albertus Magnus ... :)

Again, had amc lost to jwu they wouldn't of been ahead of Springfield and that is wrong! So please Reread my post, thank you!

d-mac wasn't.  Perhaps you should look in a mirror.

Perhaps, it is cute how all you "diehards of the board" stick together. Where was I crying? I speak my mind, if you don't like it then stay off this thread

Ferraro13

Anyhow, back to bball. Junkie impressive that you are there! Jealous, I thought about making that ride today. But just couldn't make it happen. Wixsted is a phenomenal shooter for a big man. I hope Vic can stay out of foul trouble. We need to make this a track meet, it's gonna be fun!
