Well that was embarrassing! AMC Falcons were totally outclassed & outmanned.
When will our players learn not to commit STUPID FOULS!!!!! J.Green-Younger
just looked like a punk when he dropped the ball on a fallen CNU guard. GEE, I
guess you showed him!
In the words of Trump...SAD..VERY SAD!

Haven't been on for a long time; user name issued. Great GNAC season. This was a cery competitive league and unfortunately, still didn't help Albertus get a better draw. But great season. Albertus got betteras season went on and Mitch has a nice young group of players. Hopefully, they take care of each other and develop. Could be a dangerous regional team in two years.

Saint, wow what a difference a coach makes. The program will only get better as players continue to play in his system. Suffolk has been improving each year. You still have St Joe Maine, JWU around also. And of course ST Joe CT will be a force. 6 really competitive programs! Plus the new model of only playing in conference opponent once allows for teams to schedule a lot more games against NESCAC, Little East, and NJACAC teams. If the conference begins winning against those conferences than you'll begin to see GNAC draw better in the tournament. It looks like the future is bright with these coaches.

Yes, I think you are correct. With all the recent coaching changes, and new team additions to the GNAC just making the conference playoffs has become very competitive. Any team, maybe with the exception of the 7 th and 8 th seed was capable of winning the conference tournament. I thought Albertus did a nice job of putting together their offense and defense the last three weeks of the season to capture the number 1 seed and home court advantage, which proved to be very important in the finals.  Looking forward to another competitive season next year.

Oh boy, Hoop Dirt is reporting that one of finalists for the D-2 Assumption College job is a successful D-3 head coach in his first year.  The one thing the Saints program doesn't need right now is instability.  Keeping an eye on this one.

Actually ... the hint was TWO DIII coaches who had successful first years.

I am not sure a DIII coach gets the job ... but I've been wrong before.

Jack Ryan's pretty good.  The boys coach where I'm at (Fairfield Warde) and the Stratford coach are brothers so they scrimmage every year.  Good 3 point shooter can drive if he needs too.

Apparently, this was announced last month and I missed it until just recently.  Saints coach, Danny Lawson, was named Northeast Regional COY.  I was so focused on the GNAC awards that I completely forgot to check the regional awards. This is a really big honor to be voted regional COY by the coaches outside of the GNAC, especially when some schools like Hamilton, Nichols, Williams, and MIT, had just outstanding seasons.  I was glad to see that the other coaches around New England recognized what Coach Lawson accomplished in such a short period of time.  The Saints program had been in the basement for so long I never even bothered to check regional awards.  I guess from now on I will have to start looking at the regional awards also.

Exciting News for fans of Albertus Magnus College! Robert Simmons of Classical in Hartford, CT. will be joining the Falcons
in the Fall!

Robert Simmons: an exciting 6`, 3" Guard who averaged: 28 Pts., 15 Reb. & 9 assists per game .
The competition in the NCCC isn`t the best, but he was a 1000 pt. scorer & 2-time All-NCCC.

Mitch Oliver is doing a great job building with 4-year students. The Future is bright indeed!

Great stuff Falcons25! Always good to hear about future Falcons in the off season. I had heard that Oliver was hitting the JUCO trail hard for interior talent to pair with the great 1's and 2's we have returning. You seem to have some great connections. Any word on this??

I feel like we are 1 back to the basket scorer and defender away from being a force next season in the Northeast Region considering we lost only 1 senior from last years squad.

Falcons 25, you need to work your magic.....I heard through a source that Oliver has landed 3 JUCO transfers. I was told they are the best JUCO transfers since Eian and Vic?!?!? One is an All American and the other is a big time forward with CT roots who was a high level commit? I could not get any names of who they might be??

Work your contacts!! Like I said in an earlier post, I know Oliver always likes to hit the JUCO trail and if these guys are in fact coming to Albertus, I really think we have a lot to be excited about.
