I saw Salem lost, and Westfield won...

Two things. Salem is 1-2 to start the year, when is the last time that happened. They seem to have a down year this year.

Westfield beat Elms by 9. Elms was in the NCAA tourny last year so im sure that bodes well for westfield.

No elms made the tournament because they were a well coached and taleneted team. If you have ever seen them play they have a lot of talent with most of the kids coming from out of state, the are not to be underrated.

Salem is now 1 and 3 and could easily start 1 and 5 as they have two tough games coming up this week. They looked gross against WPI this afternoon.  I guess the days of Jim Todd and Brian Meehan are over.  Meehan's recruiting had carried Salem thus far but all great things must end.  Salem State made a big mistake when they let Brian Meehan walk away.

Good luck Salem you are going to need all of the help you can get.  Look at the banners on the wall and look back at what the program once was and work every day to return it to the same level.  Salem  has been a power house in New England for two decades.  Starting 1 and 3 is no way to represent.

Fitchburg State College what the hell are they doing pulling their best shooter, Dan Koen, out in the first 2 minutes. he's the captain. also where is al ortix? that nick smith kid what the hell is he doing trying to shoot from outside the box. he is listed at 6'7", 255 ya right buddy ur like 270 use your body and box somebody out get a rebound. Fitchburg shoots themselves in the foot how many turnovers are you going to get in the first half 17 is rediculous. If anyone is going to play you guys i would press the whole game. Also who are your top like 8 guys because your playing the whole bench. Thats not going to win games. Fitchburg needs to find its best players and play them thats it! Fitchburg is lacking in the hieght department. Why are you guys not running the floor? make the other teams tired, you guys should be in shape. brian skiffington plays hard you need to play hard and hustle. whats the deal with the guy with out a jersey? Fitchburg has a good team they need to play the right players, stop turning the ball over!!!!!, and the BIG guys need to stay in the damn paint use your body!!!

salem state just barely got by Newbury college last night .. pulled out a squeaker by only 3 points.  i think salem is over-rated..

I would not say over rated because i do not believe that many people have rated them highly this year. I say that the mascac title is up in the air this year....Worcester seems to be doing well and competing with everyone. Bridgewater is always decent plus their big man Lang (transfer from ssc) just started to play again. Westfield is doing pretty well, except for the blowouts by williams and amherst. And framingham seems to have beaten some pretty good teams as well. It has been an interesting month.

Who are you kidding framingham state wat a joke.. nice football team too.. anyways the real FSC just stomped on nichols 73-58.. keep sleepin on fitchburg i guess they do suck... framingham hasnt played a real team yet.. bridgewater and westfield are ok.. well find out when they come to da burg..

Ok please get off Fitchburg like they are any good. They havnt made the conference tournament in a while. I mean the conference tournament, not the NCAA's. They lost to amherst by 50 something, thats just dispicable. They have a couple young kids with talent, but they are not deserving of any respect yet.

Even though they're down, I think its still Salem's to lose for one for season anyway.  Framingham, Fitchburg and Westfield all have up and coming teams, but I'm not sure they've shown enough consistency to be threats just yet.  That's not to say they can't win, but it would still be a major upset for anyone other than Salem to get into the tournament.  The league is coming together though, it should be quite competitive for the next few years.

I completely agree. However i do believe that Salem is more likely than ever to lose it this year. Given Salem has played a pretty tough schedule, but they got blown out to WPI which worcester only loss by 8 in OT. It will be a big test coming up when they face Williams. I could see westield, bridgewater and worcester posibbly upsetting them throughout the year, but by far salem is still the favorite.

Bridgewater has been the best team all year, but the whole conference is way, way down.
