My condolences, too, to Sarah's family, relatives, friends, and the extended families she developed through her athletic endeavors...

I've heard from what I consider a reliable source that Stout's Kelsey Duoss will likely be continuing her hoops career playing for a team in Australia.  Best wishes, Kelsey!!

If that works out, she won't be the only D3 WBB player who's played down there--on the NAthCon Women's Basketball board I've posted a link about one of Edgewood's players landing on an all-star team that's currently down there until 7/15 I(Reply #535 on Northern Athletics Conference WBB board).

No disrespect, but there are 5-10 WIAC players a year who pay to go play on an international tour.

Duoss signed a contract to play professionally in Australia.

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to step on anyone's toes. Instead of paying to play (amateur international tours), she is a professional now. What team btw is Duoss playing for?

Good luck to Duoss.

IMO Edgewood's Megan Scheele could play for any team in the WIAC, would probably start for the majority of them and she's only going to be a junior next season.  She can play.

I agree, she's good ... I just thought there was a comparison going on and although a great opportunity for the kids, knowing how those tour teams are chosen, it's a far cry from signing a pro contract.

Brittany Herrick also logged some professional time last year in Germany. Not sure if that got any talk on here or not.

As alluded to in an earlier post here - Kelsey Duoss does indeed sign a contract to play in Australia...

WEAU TV13 has the story tonight, with interviews with Duoss and Coach Thomas...

They only had 9 freshman last season.  8 is about average...

Quality, not quantity...;)

Voice of the Titans

Or quantity, when they go on the road and teams need to find more chairs for their bench.

So true on the other WIAC teams not providing enough chairs for Coach T's Runnin' Lady Blue Devils.

But those are "quality" players that are coming off the bench during line changes for Stout.  Some of those "bench" players could be starters for many teams in the WIAC.
