The part of the arguement that is ridiculous is the part saying that there were two reasons why they lost....one of them being coaching, obviously I know coaching has a part in every loss and if you read the articles on the game Egner takes responsibility for being apart of it...it would be like asking hte question do you think that the reason UWW has beaten a handful of teams by 20+ this year is because they are really that much better or because the other team has bad coaching?

the stats I looked at were out of 59 shots 19 were threes......having watched a few Pointer games I am guessing they were off kick offs since Egner isn't the type to let kids jack threes....my second stat I looked at was season TO's for Kranz.....(i know you are all thinking why this stat but try to put two and two together on this one)

I think Kranz is a great player from what I have seen and I think Point is a great team....my point.....give credit to UWO for a great W instead of saying your team handed it to them....Zero earned it that day.

I'm confused.  In your first post you called the idea "stupidity" and "ridiculous."  In this post you indicate Enger takes responsiblity for it.  If she's saying she didn't coach well why would the other poster's opinion that bad coaching was a part of the loss be "stupidity" or "ridiculous?"   Whether it was significant or not is a matter of opinion.   The fact their opinion differs from yours doesn't make it stupid or ridiculous.  It just makes it different.   It must have had some significance or Enger wouldn't have mentioned it.

Two and two, would that be four?  ;)

once again....i thought i clarified in the last post....in the first line......the part of the arguement that is ridiculous is saying they lost for 2 reasons one being coaching......obviously coaching is a part of it but it isn't one of two main reasons point lost that game........that my friend is ridiculous....whether it is an opinion or not

Maybe what crazy4hoops is trying to say is ridiculous is the fact that the poster said that someone needs to take some responsibility for the loss besides the players which clearly Egner did.  Just my two cents.

I posted earlier that UWL has lost some heartbreakers, and they lose another one last night.

Last evening, they took the #3 ranked team in the country to OT...

This squad is ready to pull off an upset soon.  I hope it's not when Stout goes down there and plays on February 16th, or in a possible 3rd game this season in the WIAC Tourney.

I really think if this team could be a force to be reckoned with in future seasons.

It seems like LaCrosse has been on the verge of breaking through for several years. They get some players who dominate and I start talking about how good they'll be next year, and they end up a little worse or the same. I don't know if the rest of the league simply adjusts to the team or the team loses a key player or the chemistry doesn't pan out for the big move up the standings or what. They should have had WIAC champion teams a couple of years ago.

LaCrosse is vastly improved since the first time we played them.   If they continue to play like last night they'll be a handfull for anyone the rest of the way.

Last night's game was a good test for the WARHAWKS and while they were seriously challenged they weren't beaten.  Perhaps caught looking a bit forward and pushed to the wall they responded to walk away with it in OT.

We all know that those things which do not kill you only serve to make you stronger.   ;D  This was one of those things for this team.

Now we can focus on Saturday's match up with EC.  We've got a score to settle.

What it should be showing is left out: RF AND Superior. It's times like those that a serious amount of time and money get wasted...

Now RF is clearly having a down year so I'm not suggesting a 7 team tourney but honestly, who is Superior going to beat?

It's an over-hashed out situation regarding UW-Superb. You hate to omit a team but it just seems like such a waste to send teams up there and then in return have them travel the state. When do you call it quits to a program and save the rest of the programs in the conference money.

I'm not saying they lack the heart or competitive juices to compete but wouldn't an EC vs Sup matchup be a bit ridiculous at this point. What's left to prove?

WW is playing sick basketball...a nice test as they run down the stretch to get pushed, even head to OT and still win. Should be great experience come tourney time. LaCrosse may be trying to play the trick Platteville did back in what was it, 2002? #7 seed almost wins the bid!
