Do I have to settle this Stout POY vs EC POY every week?   :D ;)

Well, why don't you just decide all the awards for us before they are announced??? ;)

And it's POW, not POY... :D

Things must still be real slow at the office... ;D

Besides, last week it was EC POW vs. Point POW... :P

Now get back to work... ;D

The WARHAWKS never trailed but Oshkosh hung tough for the first half trailing by only three points, 33-30.  However the WARHAWKS made a 17-5 run to start the second half and built the lead to as many as 25 points before the final of 65-49.  Kelsey Hendrickson found her touch from beyond the arch (5-8) and led all scorers with 21 points.  Nicole Bundy also scored in double figures with 10 points.  Tiffany Morton only took six shots and was held to a season low 6 ponts though she did pull down 9 rebounds to lead the team in that category.  No Oshkosh player scored in double figures.

Surprisingly the stat sheet provided by the Oshkosh stats people last night indicated that Trisha Thill and Shannon Moore both played despite having graduated last year.  ???   I did notice the official box score has been corrected however.

They also had Arin Lane playing for UWO......unless she is back with the team.

Is Arie Montgomery a new player for UWW?  She was listed on the UWW roster by the UWO stat people.

Stout battles D2 #9 Mankato State but loses at the Johnson, 79-68.

River Falls falls at Hamline, 78-66

LA RAMS

Was at the UWRF - Hamline game last night.  Despite the loss, I was quite impressed with the hustle and never-say-die attitude the Falcons displayed last night.  Looks like UWRF has a real gem in freshman post Taylor House who did a lot of damage down low last night.  If UWRF can get consistent scoring from Hanson, Hilt, and Lardie, they could be very dangerous.

They must have meant Chantel Burg

I've got a feeling that Chantel Burg is going to be a very good player in our league.  Our system is just right for her game.

The WARHAWKS rocked Rockford College how is that for clever in a game the was every bit as ugly as the final 82-35 score indicates.  The WARHAWKS scored first and made a 22-2 run over the first 7 1/2 minutes before Rockford scored again.  Leading by 37 at the half, 48-11, the WARHAWKS extended the lead into the forties in the first 3 1/2 minutes of the second half and Rockford never got closer.  Tiffany Morton scored 20 points and Dana Thompson added 16 points to pace WHITEWATER.   Fifteen players scored and the first eight in the rotation averaged less than 15 minutes on the floor.  WHITEWATER, led by Heidi Sontag and Megan Schmidt with 5 apiece, outrebounded Rockford 47-34 which included 19 offensive rebounds and the team had 19 steals.

The WARHAWKS are off until Dec. 28th when they travel to Daytona to play Union (NY) and Calvin (MI)(12/30) in the Land of Magic Classic.

Curious to see how WW does this week against Union and Calvin. Good vibes for the WIAC if they win big. Union could be pretty tough - almost beat #1 Rochester. Any predictions?

#2743
WHITEWATER (10-1) opened 2-0 on a lay up by Tiffany Morton.  Union responded with a basket but a second layup by Morton put the WARHAWKS back on top and they never surrendered the lead after that beating Union (NY) (6-2) 79-68.  WHITEWATER led 38-30 at half but Union made a 9-2 run to open the second half and close within one point, 40-39, with 17:46 remaining.   Leading 58-53 with 10:03 on the clock the WARHAWKS made an 8-1 run and later pushed to lead to as many as 14 points before the game ended.

Morton led all scorers with 27 points and hauled down 16 rebounds.  Nicole Bundy joined Morton with a double-double 18 points (3-6 on 3-pt), 10 rebounds.    WHITEWATER out rebounded Union 47-36.

WHITEWATER returns to action Tuesday vs. Calvin (MI).
