So in the 4th showdown of the year between SP and WW to become elite, I fear the end of the road for Shirley and gang. I see WW. That is the good news for WW fans. The bad news for WW fans is there is no Hope against Hope. So WW advances to the elite 8 but no further.

Not so fast.  First, Hope has a lot of work to do to even get to such a matchup.  If they get past Wheaton, presumably they'd face #3 Ohio Northern.  Win that, and they might face #4 Calvin for a fourth time in the round of 16; that game would be a tossup.  It's a killer pod.

Also, Hope did certainly ambush WW in the first half at DeVos in December, but Hope can go off like that from time to time at DeVos.  See the Calvin game there.  But I was very impressed with WW and how they played in the 2nd half of that game.  I have no doubt it would be a much tighter game if they play again.

WW has come a long, long way since earlier in the year. Expect them to get to the game with hope.

Nice wins WW and SP. While Simpson won big, still expect SP to win. WW will remain focused for the win over Carthage. Still looking for the WW vs SP fourth show down. Good luck WIAC

Half time SP and Simpson. never have seen a point team look so bad in the last 10 years. Is it the Simpson defense or lack of concentration by point. Maybe both. WW seems to be doing OK.

Just Bill

Point with a crazy comeback, but couldn't get over the top. Simpson holds on for 88-84 win.

Cheered for point but just not enough. Shirley's antics with the refs where the highlight of the game. Man I love her. She's got class and knows exactly where the line is. WW looked focused and deliberate. Assume they will play Simpson. Don't anticipate any slow starts by the gang from SE WI. Thanks Sam B for the great years long may you run. So great to stream two WIAC games.

Class is not the word that comes to mind when talking about Steven's Point's coach.

If you've ever heard how she speaks to refs / others than I don't think you'd describe it the same way. That's all.

I echo your sentiments regarding UWEC's Sarah Bingea, and note that Superior's Connie Urmanski is also a finalist...
Congratulations ladies, and way to represent our conference!

I had a front seat at Stevens Point for years and save for 1 or 2 moments, I've never thought Egner went over the line. I've described her as classy as well and I still do.

I too am thrilled for Superior's Connie Urmanski. Here's hoping one of the WIAC players is chosen. Wasn't to long ago the Julia Hirsig was the recipient.

Wah, Wah Whitewater to the elite 8. Nicely done WW. My original prediction was no hope for WW against Hope. The crew from SE Wisconsin are playing good and have had a really tough schedule soooo
let's change the prediction to WW by 1 point over Hope. It will be fun to see them at Holland for he finals. Glad to be a WW fan for a few more weeks but then it's back to the Blue and Gold. Good Luck Warhawks!
