OSH and Stout No pick.
RF over PLT
SP over LAX
WW over EC
We started that WRST Sports sh**.

JMM

WW did not stop O'toole and certainly did not shoot good from outside. The refs called a very tight game and called every foul. That said, WW being WW found a way to eek out the win in the last 2 minutes. I believe Badgerhawk would agree that WW was pretty darn flat (as were many of the EC players). O'toole had 28.

I haven't had a chance to look at anything about the game last night JMM but what I do know at this point is how difficult a gym that is for us.  It was only a couple of years ago that Coach C won for the first time.  I'll post a wrap later but right now I'm off to a birthday party.

WARHAWKS: 54
Eau Claire: 52

Eau Claire got the first point of the game but Lisa Palmer answered with a layup and the WARHAWKS took the lead and held it for the entire first quarter.  The BluGolds were held to just seven points in the quarter and when it ended the WARHAWKS lead had grown to double figures, 17-7.  Andrea Olson's layup opened the scoring in the second stanza giving the WARHAWKS their largest lead of the first half but the BluGolds responded with a six point run and after that they gradually closed the gap until Erin O'Toole's layup with thirty seconds remaining gave the BluGolds their first lead since the opening point 26-25 when the half ended.  The WARHAWKS took nineteen more shots than the BluGolds (41-22) but shot a horrid 24%  including 0% (0-9) from beyond the arc.   Lisa Palmer's 7 points and Brooke Trewyn's 6 rebounds paced the WARHAWKS.  The BluGolds were led by O'Toole with 14 points and 8 boards.  The BluGolds continued to lead for the first couple of minutes of the third quarter until Malia Smith sank a layup creating the first lead change of the second half 30-28.  Over the next four minutes Eau Claire would tie the game and fall behind again until O'Toole hit a pair of free throws at the three minute mark and put them ahead 38-36.  In the final three minutes the two teams would be tied once and exchange the lead twice before the quarter ended 42-41 in favor of Eau Claire.  The final quarter would see the two teams tie three times and exchange the lead three times.  The BluGolds led by six 51-45 with just under five minutes to play.  From that point on the BluGolds missed their final seven shots, turned the ball over once and went 1 of 2 from the charity stripe.  The WARHAWKS didn't shoot much better making only one of five shots but it was a three pointer and we went 6 of 8 from the free throw line to pull ahead and seal the win.  It was Eau Claire who shot 24% in the second half while the WARHAWKS improved slightly to 30%.  The WARHAWKS bench was a big factor in the game outscoring the BluGolds 24-8.  Ball possession was also a factor as the WARHAWKS finished with one of lowest turnover totals (8) if not the lowest of the season.

Trewyn: 16 points, 11 rebounds, assist, 1 block, 2 steals
Palmer: 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks
Stewart: 9 points
Malia Smith: 6 points, 6 rebounds, assist, 2 steals
Jaya Perkins: 6 points, 5 rebounds, assist

Eau Claire:
O'Toole: 28 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks
Kayla Hanley: 7 rebounds
Teenie Lichtfuss: 7 points, 2 assists, block, steal

WARHAWKS: 74
Platteville: 47

The WARHAWKS started poorly out of the gate missing their first five shots and committing a pair of turnovers before Riley Stewart hit a three pointer three minutes into the game for the first points.  Fortunately Platteville didn't start any better missing four of five shots and turning the ball over once during the same time frame.  From that point on the WARHAWKS maintained a single digit lead that reached a high of six points twice including 14-8 when the quarter ended. In the second quarter the Pioneers would pull into a tie 16-16 but a layup by Abbie Reeves followed by consecutive three point baskets by Reeves and a pair of free throws by Kate McKay pushed the WARHAWKS lead into double figures 26-16 with four minutes remaining in the half.  That lead grew to a high of sixteen before a three point basket by the Pioneers made the score 34-19 at the half.  Neither team shot well (WW: 29%, Platt: 30%) But the WARHAWKS defense forced 15 Pioneer turnovers creating a 17-5 scoring advantage off of them.  With Reeves (15 points) and McKay (8 points) coming off the bench the WARHAWKS held a 29-6 scoring advantage.  Kassie Buchholz had 7 points to lead the Pioneers.  The WARHAWKS lead reached twenty points with less than a minute to play in the third quarter but the Pioneers made the last basket of the quarter which ended with the score 47-29.  After that the Pioneers would get no closer than fifteen points and the lead would remain in the upper twenties for the game's final five minutes.  Eighteen WARHAWKS saw the floor with eleven scoring points.

Reeves: 24 points (6 3pt baskets), 6 rebounds, 3:1 a:to, 3 steals
McKay: 14 points
Bench: 56-29

Pioneers:
Elisa Bilderback: 10 points
Morgan Horstman: 7 points, 6 rebounds

River Falls: 59
WARHAWKS: 62

As was the case on Wednesday the WARHAWKS started this game slow missing three shots and turning the ball over in their first four possessions allowing the Falcons to build 7-0 lead.  Jaya Perkins layup got the WARHAWKS on the board with a little more than six minutes remaining in the quarter but the Falcons maintained their lead until Maddie Bare hit a three pointer tying the game 10-10 at four minutes.  However the Falcons quickly jumped back on top and led 16-12 when the quarter ended.  The Falcons maintained a lead for the first four minutes of the second quarter before Abbie Reeves three point basket gave the WARHAWKS their first lead of the game 19-18.  The WARHAWKS would finish the quarter with a 10-2 run and a 29-20 lead at the buzzer.  Neither team shot well (WW: 30%, RF: 35%) but the WARHAWKS sank four three point baskets to just one for the Falcons.  Reeves (9) and Smith (8)  led WARHAWKS scorers and Lisa Palmer led with 5 rebounds.  Another basket by Perkins pushed the WARHAWKS lead to double figures a couple of minutes into the third quarter and for the remainder the lead never fell below seven points and reached a high of twelve points twice including 49-37 when the quarter ended.  The Falcons cut the lead to single digits 51-44 a couple of minutes into the fourth quarter and got to within a pair of points including 59-57 with fifteen seconds however the WARHAWKS sank three of four free throws after that to preserve the win.

WARHAWKS
Smith: 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals
Reeves: 9 points, 2 assists
Palmer: 9 rebounds
Jensen: 6 points, 5 rebounds, block
Team: 8 steals, 20-10 bench points

Falcons:
Taylor Karge: 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks
Kate Theisen: 13 points, 5 rebounds, steal
Richell Mehus: 9 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists
Kate Messman: 7 rebounds
Team: 40-30 in the paint, 24-14 second chance

Nice win for the WARHAWKS.  RF beat us handily the first time.

Stevens Point: 72
WARHAWKS: 64

The Pointers opened the scoring with a three pointer off an offensive rebound and led by single digits with a high of seven points before the first quarter ended on Riley Stewart's basket and the Pointers up five, 20-15.  The Pointers maintained a single digit lead into the second quarter before Lisa Palmer's basket tied the game 21-21 at the seven minute mark and the WARHAWKS built a small lead which with one exception we maintained for the next five minutes or so.  However the Pointers recaptured the lead 31-30 and both teams failed score again in the remaining two and half minutes of the half.  The WARHAWKS were led by Stewart, Jaya Perkins and Andrea Meinert all of whom scored 6 points.  Meinert also pulled down 5 rebounds and had a pair of assists.  Lauren Anklam hit 3 of 4 three pointers scoring 11 points to lead the Pointers.  The lead changed hands four times and there were two ties in the third quarter and the Pointers five point lead, 48-43, was the largest when the quarter ended.  Palmer's basket to start the final stanza closed the gap to three points but that's as close as the WARHAWKS would get.  The Pointer lead reached double digits twice in the quarter and was maintained by good free throw shooting sinking 11 of 12 attempts in the game's final two minutes.

WARHAWKS:
Meinert: 13 points,  6 rebounds, 2 assists
Abbie Reeves: 12 points
Palmer: 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals

WARHAWKS: 73
La Crosse: 55

The Eagles scored first but the WARHAWKS' Malia Smith quickly answered that igniting a 15-4 run over the first seven and half minutes of the opening quarter and essentially ending the game as quickly as it had started.  With a nine point lead, 19-10, at the end of the quarter the WARHAWKS lead grew to fifteen, 35-20, before the Eagles scored the last basket and the half ended 35-22.  Lisa Palmer led the way with 8 points and 7 rebounds in the half.  Abbie Reeves added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists while Smith contributed 6 points and Kate McKay 5.  La Crosse got to within thirteen points early in the third quarter but that's as close as they would get.

WARHAWKS:
Reeves: 23 points (9-14 from the floor), 5 rebounds, 3 assists
McKay: 15 points, 1 steal
Palmer: 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists
Brooke Trewyn: 5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal
Andrea Meinert: 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 4 steals
TEAM: 61% from the field (2nd half), 50% game; 11 steals; 31-15 off of turnovers; 49-10 off the bench; 9th straight over the Eagles.

La Crosse:
McKenzie Miller: 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
Elsie DeNoyer: 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block
Jenna Anderson: 8 points, 6 rebounds
Alyssa Clemment: 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals

Multiple WARHAWKS starters appeared to suffer a bout of food poisoning prior to the game and I understand were pretty sick prior to and during the contest.
