I was surprised by how much the lady Tommies buried Wartburg!  I think they are the favorites in Salem VA!

I don't know about that.  Thomas More is maybe the best DIII women's basketball teams that I've ever seen.  What they did to us, particularly in the first half, was insane.

Yeah ... to be blunt, Thomas More is the heavy favorite in Salem. Of course, anyone can be beat ... but they are insanely good and one of the most battle tested teams in the country.

I only watched the last few minutes of the Thomas More-Wash U game but it reminded me of watching UMHB in the football playoffs. The size and strength gap, even compared to a really excellent WUSTL program, was just nuts. I don't know how that Temple kid isn't in Division I.

TO CAZ And Badger: You both make good points! I still favor St Thomas. I realize how good TM is! Their one blemish was forfeiting a championship a few years ago! I was at TM for football vs UWP last year! They were great hoasts and great people!

How does vacating the championship a few years ago have any bearing on whether they are good this year? That vacation of a season was based on people not paying attention or making sure their assistants to a player was proper. It was certainly stupid, but it has nothing to do with with this team whatsoever. In actuality, it hasn't been discussed or brought up once this season ... until you did.

I'm not sure it makes sense to try to engage with this guy.

Agreed, which is why I've never jumped in no matter how outrageous he got.  My sense is that he is not an ill-meaning troll; just an off-the-wall I'm-always-right oblivious fanatic.  (Fan after all does derive from fanatic.)

Just one piece of evidence: after apologizing to Voice of the Titans for overuse of exclamations points (and toning it down for a single post), he is now just as prone as ever to using exclamation points for EVERY sentence.

The guy(?) may adapt eventually (I did ;)), but I suspect he'll just disappear before learning the norms of D3boards civility.

Correction Public name calling.

I don't know what you expect.  You have a reputation.  That will take more than a couple of weeks to overcome.

Aside from that Bowdin ended St Thomas's run and Thomas More won handily so it's Thomas More/Bowdin for the championship.  I still like Thomas More a whole lot.

I think Blake DuDonis, new RF coach, will turn our program around in a hurry. Not this year because he did not get hired soon enuf to recruit for the current team. But starting next season, there will be a noticeable difference. He has lots of connections. His wife is assistant bb coach at Minnesota, for starters. He was a talent evaluator for the WNBA prior to taking the Falcon job.
