Not to be overdramatic, but that was one of those games that had Superior won, it might have drastically altered the direction of their program.

More comments on the EC Superior game. EC was flat, flat, flat. Well the upset floated in the air, Superior was never able to break away because of EC defense. That is why there was no upset. The refs were as flat as EC. Seemed like there were many superior slapping fouls when EC shot that were not called. Also there were 15-17 jump balls - some of these were Superior fouls. I guess the refs let 'em play but tis probably worked against EC. Finally EC is a very mature team who never had any panic about losing (Can't say the same for Englund - looked pretty worried in the last 4 minutes).

EC and WW should be interesting. Need to hold Morton down like they did Hirssig. Need to watch those WW 3 pointers. If Archie is on (she was not on against Superior - looked tired and out of sinc) and if Witt goes into the "Witt Zone", EC has a chance. The real key is if Messick hits 60% of her shots. Look for a lot of A.A. for that physical game on Morton. EC will eventually lose. It is a case of here or SP.
If EC wins, look out. The bus will be rocking all the way home on I-94. WIAC Women's basketball is absolutely the best DIII in the USA. Must be all that cheese.

The WIAC has some very poor officials.  Many are not professional or care to enforce all the rules like hand-checking.  I am a fan of let them play, but as soon as a player takes a distinct advantage because of the rules not being enforced, there is a problem.  Many of the bad officials happen to be men who act as if they are too skilled to be officiating D3 women's basketball.  I am not sure if I feel this way because I used to officiate and tried to treat people with respect and enforce the rules or another reason.  I think without a doubt that Michelle Miller and Jodi Duffe are two of the top officials in the league. 

I'll drop it for now.  Just have a little ref flare up every now and then.

"Michelle Miller" and "top official" have never been used in the same sentence before.  Of all the shaky officials in the league she's one of the worst.

So the referees only made mistakes that worked against Eau Claire?

UWW up at the half, 34-24.  UWW is 5-6 from 3-land.  EC's centers are 2-12 from the field.

UWW leads EC 55-48 with 6min left.  Witt has been on the bench almost all of the 2nd half with 4 fouls.  EC is playing better this half.  UWW is just shooting too well from the perimeter.

UWW wins 73-61 over UWEC.  It was a 5-point game with a minute left.  EC did a good job on Morton in the 1st half, but she got her points in the 2nd.  EC seemed to play a lot better than on Wednesday, especially considering that Heidi A didn't shoot too well and that Witt was on the bench for most of the 2nd half.

Superior gave UWO a good game at Kolf, but UWO pulls it out 75-67.  It looks like the UWO bench really stepped up.

Despite 21pts and 16rebs from Hirssig, Stout falls to UWL, 75-56.

Point about to finish out UWP, leading 60-33 with 5min left.
