what happens when you shoot 18-54 and chuck up 3s all game?
You lose to a mediocre Coe team 62-48.

Coe lead most the game.  Uwl was down more than 10 and then tied it up 43-43..... then made 2 buckets the last 10 minutes of the game.

Time to enjoy the xmas break and have a fun trip to California for the UWL team before starting the grueling January WIAC schedule.  The whole UWL team is going to the Rose Bowl game.

Warm weather, 2 basketball games, rose bowl parade, and a badgers rose bowl win.  I am jealous.

That is one heckuva holiday break!

How on earth did they swing Rose Bowl tickets (both in terms of cost and accesibility) for the entire team?  There's hundreds of UW students who couldn't get tickets, but an entire basketball team from La Crosse can get them?  I'm just curious how they made that happen.  That's amazing.

Holidays ... Monday night road game ... Short turnaround ... Non-Conference ... Injuries - Lots of room for a letdown there so I can't bury them for that one. Isn't Coe pretty solid anyway?

I tool would love to here how Coach Heeren scored enough tickets for that game. Unless they were planning on going the whole time and bought them prior to the football season playing out and knowing who would be there?

What an awesome trip! Wonder if she has any room on staff for a couple of us?!?!?!

It was the first time in the history of Coe's program that they've beaten a Top 20 ranked opponent.  They're 6-2 on the season with a five point loss to Carthage, ranked 12th, and a 15 point loss to unranked Simpson.   So far they look pretty solid.

Accessibility- group ticket option that most people didn't look into I believe.
Cost- I think the girls were quite excited for the opportunity to buy them.

They were planning on just going to the Rose Bowl Parade on the trip until the badgers made it.

Coe was solid, but not a team that Lax should have lost to regardless of distractions.

The WARHAWKS who traveled to San Diego to take part in the Surf & Slam tournament picked up a win over Point Loma 70-55.  The lead was only five points in the first half, 35-30, before the WARHAWKS opened it up with a 35-25 second half.  Dana Thompson had a double-double 24 points (10-14) and 11 rebounds as the WARHAWKS out rebounded Point Loma 46-31 including 15 offensive rebounds.  Cortney Kumerow also scored in double figures with 10 points.  The free throw differential was significant as the WARHAWKS shot 12-21 to just 3-5 for Point Loma.

The WARHAWKS will face Bethany Lutheran tomorrow afternoon.
