I just can't see Oshkosh being a top six team with all they are losing.  Their seniors with Boeder and Churchill were tough players.

I agree with EC.  And I think Stout and Superior will be better.

I agree, I also think Stout and Superior will be better.  Seems like Stout improved as the season went on and I think Coach Mulhern at Superior is really working to improve that team.  You can see him scouting for recruits at AAU type spring ball and he'll be the only coach there.  Also his team is only losing about 12 points a game from last year so his team will be second in the WIAC in returning points to RF.

If she is as successful as a coach as she was as a player Luther has made a very good hire.

So happy for her. The Egner coaching tree is really starting to branch out. When If Coach Egner ever decides to retire there's going to be a long line of alumni ready to apply.

Congratulations to the Michigan Tech womens basketball team on their win last night in the Division II semi-finals, they play Friday for the DII National Championship.  Lots of Wisconsin players on the team, so it is great to see them do so well.

If I remember correctly, it seems like some posters questioned if players like Sam Hoyt (Durand) and Lucy Dernovsek (Lake Holcombe) should go there and should have stayed and played in the WIAC.  Looks like they made a pretty good decision, both are starters and are key players for MTU.

Good luck in the Championship game!

Congrats to Amanda on her first head coaching.  Best of luck and I hope you can  schedule UWSP sometime.

That's great to hear! UWGB and MTU still in the hunt!  Any insight into what the former MTU coach is going to do after this season. That move to UW probably doesn't look as good now that Coach Stone was let go.

Stout has 11- 12 schedule up on website

Looks like Stout has a pretty interesting schedule.  Starting off with Crown College, who might be the worst team in college basketball, then shortly after that having to play 2 D2's in St Cloud State and Winona State, and Winona might be one of the best teams in the NSIC.  It also looks like they will have a tougher end to the conference schedule than last year, finishing with LAX, EC, SP, and Oshkosh as oppossed to Oshkosh, Superior, Platteville, and EC.

I've been looking for next year's schedules, I wish more teams had them out there.

Is it that much tougher?  Just going by the various posters rankings for next year, other than Point, it might be easier...

Point ends up with a 1.25 ranking (down from 1), EC has a 4.5 (down from 4) , LX a 7.5 (down from 3) and OK an 8 (down from 6).

Of course - projections mean absolutely nothing.

What I do like about the upcoming schedule - the start of the season is not as brutal as it was last year with the 1st four WIAC games being SP, WW, LX and RF.  When you start 0 - 4, it makes thing tough.

I would hopeEC has some improvement from last year. From what I saw at state tourney they are bring in 3-4 players that could fill their void in the 4 position. I didn't see Messick out much this year so I am not sure why they need 3-4 players for that position. But all those players that I read are going there are scorers so maybe that was the key draw for them.

My Predictions...

UW WW
UWSP
UWO
UWLX
UWP
UWEC
UW Sup
UW Stout

For those scoring along at home, a new, yet familiar, face will be gracing the UWL sidelines this fall...

Former UW-Platteville women's basketball coach Tina Kuhle (2004-10) has joined Lois Heeren's staff at UW-La Crosse as an assistant, the school announced Thursday.

Kelsey Andrist, daughter of UW-Stout Men's Basketball Head Coach Eddie Andrist, plays for Winona State which makes the game even more interesting.
