Ha! No kidding. I wonder which team I looked at and counted something like 13 of 24? Jest, no. Erred, yes. Sorry about that.

Whitewater. Good lord. Not even the same end of the alphabet. A wealth of juniors/seniors

I couldn't find a River Falls roster. I've always found the RF athletics site to be difficult to navigate, so the roster could very well be there but not nearly as obvious as someone--like me, apparently--needs.

We lose size next year when Kumerow graduates.  But we'll return most of our back court players.  Hopefully one or more of our bigs will take a step forward next year or we can recruit a big that can contribute something as a freshman.  One player I think is going to develop into a really good player by the time she graduates is Lisa Palmer.  She has some size and plays aggressively rebounding and in the paint.

At this point in time I like the team we'll be putting on the floor next year.

Your link works great, but I have the same problem as the OP.  If I pick the sport as you suggest, when I get to the WBB page there IS no menu showing so there's nowhere to click for roster, stats, and so forth.  I have no doubt it's there somewhere, but it appears that the site is not compatible with some browsers.

The menu is in the right hand column. You might have to scroll down just a bit. It's underneath the "Falcon Center Concept" graphic.

I grant you not having it closer to the top of the page isn't very good web design.

In a battle of 2nd and 3rd place teams in the WIAC.

UW-Superior 66
UW-Oshkosh 58

UW-Oshkosh jumped out to a 26-9 lead early in the first half but UW-Superior whittled away at the lead and was only down 26-21 at the half. In the second half the Yellowjackets caught fire shooting 68% from the field while limiting the Titans to 37% in the second half. Connie Urmanski led four Yellowjackets starters with a game high 18 points. Katie Kitzke led the Titans with 17 points. With the win UW-Superior pull into a tie with Oshkosh at 10-3 in conference a half game out of first.

I guess Nett won't be in any MVP or POY battle next year, since she graduates this year--at least her years of eligibility are up. Sophomore standing in basketball doesn't mean squat if you're a senior, academically and eligibility-wise.  I should pay deeper attention

Voice of the Titans

What a game yesterday at Kolf, and not just because a bus delay allowed me to actually eat some dinner before a Titan game. Point jumps out to a 7 point lead and gets a buzzer beater after :0.2 turned into :1.0 which turned into :0.8 and Barber beat the clock on a pretty well-designed inbounds play. But Oshkosh did what they do best and made the halftime adjustments to knot the game up very quickly in the 2nd. Back and forth for the last 7 minutes or so when Stecker and Tyler trade tough shots to set up the ending, and Wenig finds Kitzke for a deep three with :3.5 left and Point can't get a chance up before the backboard started to glow. Point did a great job to limit Kuehl in the game, but UWO's gameball has to go to Brittany Mirsberger, averaging about 3 minutes a game, comes in for 8 points and 6 rebounds (5 offensive) in 12 minutes. Few had to see that coming.

And Barber is the POY without much competition. Tough to guard and stole away many a rebound last night. No doubt that's a DII kid out there on a DIII court. Definitely don't want to run into her again.

Nice to see that "coaching trait" being used again after it seemed to be missing the past six seasons!!!!

WARHAWKS: 81
Platteville: 62

Platteville opened the scoring and took their only lead of the game when Elizabeth Lawinger scored however Lawinger's turnover on the next Pioneer possession resulted in Kaitlyn Thill's three-pointer to put the WARHAWKS on the board and in the lead for the remainder of the game.  Platteville stayed within single digits for the next six minutes or so until the WARHAWKS Katie Burton hit a jumper creating the first double digit lead of the game, 21-11.  Platteville cut into the lead reducing it to a low of five points twice.  The last time being the end of the half when Rachel Cropp scored on a layup making the score 36-31 WARHAWKS.   The WARHAWKS shot an even 50% in the first half to 45% for the Pioneers with each team hitting on three three-point attempts.  The WARHAWKS went 5-6 from the free throw line while the Pioneers missed their only attempt.  Eleven Pioneer turnovers in the half were converted to an 14-3 scoring advantage for the WARHAWKS.  Thill led all scorers with 16 points.  The Pioneers were able to pull within two points, 38-36, early in the second half but the WARHAWKS maintained a single digit lead for the first six minutes before Thill's jumper gave the WARHAWKS double digit lead, 48-38, that they would hold for the remainder of the game.  The lead reached a high of twenty two points, 78-56, when Sam Quandt scored with less than three minutes to play.

The WARHAWKS outscored the Pioneers 27-8 off of turnovers , 36-19 off the bench and 20-6 from the free throw line.  Thill's game high 26 points came from shooting 9-11 (3-5 three pointers) from the floor and 5-6 free throws.  Katie Burton added 11 points and Mary Merg 10 points.  Courtney Kumerow finished with a game high 10 rebounds and Quandt's 4 steals were a game high.

Claire Poad led the Pioneers with 15 points while Alyssa Krajco added 12 points.  Rachael Cropps 3 assists were a game high.

Other games:

River Falls: 53  ...  Brittany Gregorich 15, Jessie VanWyhe 15
Superior: 48  ...  Sally Linzmeier 15

River Falls scores first and holds a lead for just under 30 minutes before Superior takes their first lead and the two teams either tie or trade the lead 13 times in the next nine minutes before the Falcons take and hold it to the buzzer.

Stout: 69  ...  Brea Boomer 14
LaCrosse: 57  ...  Erin Levenhagen 18

Visiting LaCrosse leads for the game's first 10 minutes but Stout dominates the boards 43-30 and pulls away.

Oshkosh: 56  ...  Katie Kitzke 14
Stevens Point: 53  ...  Sam Barber 24 points / 14 rebounds

Point leads by nine at the half and for the first four minutes of the second half.  After the two teams tie and exchange the lead several times Oshkosh takes control over the game's final four minutes and after being tied twice holds on and hits a huge three-pointer in the final seconds.

It really was a fantastic game. First win for the UWO women over UWSP since 1/23/2008

WARHAWKS: 82
Superior: 66

The WARHAWKS scored the game's first six points on a pair of baskets from Courtney Kumerow and a pair of free throws from Mary Merg.  Connie Urmanski's pair of free throws got the Yellow Jackets on the board.  The WARHAWKS maintained a lead which  never exceeded six and shrank to one on four occasions before the Yellow Jackets Sally Linzmeier hit a jumper at the nine and half minute mark and gave them their only lead of the game 19-18.  Kumerow answered with a pair of free throws recapturing the lead for the WARHAWKS.  The lead reached double figures 38-28 when Mary Merg sank a three-pointer with just under two minutes left in the half however the Yellow Jackets Kristin Nett would score the half's final basket cutting the deficit to eight, 38-30.  The WARHAWKS only scored 8 baskets in the half on 29% shooting.  Free throws were the difference in the half as the WARHAWKS made 20 of 23 attempts to Superior's 8-13.  Despite scoring only two baskets Kumerow led all scorers with 20 points going 16-16 from the free throw line.  The WARHAWKS quickly put the lead back into double figures scoring the first points of the second half and it remained in double digits to the thirteen minute mark when the Yellow Jackets cut it to seven 48-41 on  Allyssa Lindberg's old fashioned three-point play.  Lisa Palmer's free throw a minute later put the WARHAWKS lead back to double figures and it remained there reaching a high of 18 points for the remainder of the game.

Neither team shot that well in the game each finishing at 37%.  The WARHAWKS finished with more baskets 22-20 which included a 6 to 2 advantage from beyond the arc and had a 32-39 to 24-33 free throw advantage.

Kumerow led all scorers with 29 points finishing a perfect 19-19 from the free throw line.  Kumerow also grabbed a game high 17 rebounds.  Kaitlyn Thill added 15 points while Merg 12 points and 5 assists.  Palmer also pulled down double figure rebounds with 10.  Abbie Reeves and Sam Quandt combined for 15 points leading the WARHAWKS bench to 21-11 scoring advantage.

Linzmeier led the Yellow Jackets with 21 points while Urmanski added 11.

The win clinches a first round bye and sets the stage for the showdown with Oshkosh Wednesday night.

WARHAWKS: 58
Oshkosh: 49

I just lost a post I spent a bunch of time typing so this will be short.

The Titans scored the game's first four points but the WARHAWKS responded with an 8-0 and with the exception of one tie held a lead which never exceeded six points until Megan Wenig's consecutive three-pointers regained the lead for the Titans who finished the half on a 10-0 run for a 26-21 halftime lead.  The second half was crazy.  The two teams tied seven times and exchanged the lead eleven times.  With Oshkosh leading 49-48 and a shade under two minutes remaining Courtney Kumerow sank a layup to put the WARHAWKS on top and another Kumerow basket and 5-5 from the free throw line preserved the win.

Kumerow led the WARHAWKS with 15 points and rounded out a double-double with a game high 10 rebounds.  Abbie Reeves came off the bench to score 11 points.

Wenig led the Titans with a game high 17 points.  Katie Kitzke added 11.

The game was won at the free line as the WARHAWKS sank 21 of 23 attempts to 10 of 12 for Oshkosh.
