Wow. That was not a pretty game. UWO got out to a big lead, but it should have been bigger if it weren't for a lot of missed bunnies. No scoring for UWO in first 6 minutes of 2nd half, but SP only had 2 during that time. Might have set a record for airballs in a WIAC semi-final game (along with one air ball that shouldn't have been, and a shot clock violation was called on a shot that pretty clearly hit the rim).

EC gave RF everything they had and lost by a few. The underneath defense of RF was outstanding. All do respect to OSH (who will deservingly get to the NCAA) Don't see how they are going to win.

It was just an oddball play where no one was sure how to react. Just changed a rebound to a turnover on the stat sheet. Speaking of, that is the first time I've ever seen a team's rebounding leader be the TEAM rebounds. Yikes.

OSH will make the NCAA tournament. I just don't see them beating RF. RF is  one super tough team. Also very confident. Lots of strong, scrappy athletes. The students were out in force against EC.

UWO has gone into River Falls today and after a close first half, dominates the third quarter with a 17-3 run to take a 48-37 lead heading to the fourth quarter....

UWO earns the automatic Pool A bid with a 65-64 win at River Falls...  It is their third straight WIAC Tournament Championship.

Ahhh Yes. Wrong again. great win for OSH. WIAC Champs.

I think River Falls and Stevens Point are at-large locks. Whitewater is borderline, but should benefit from a strong SOS against the rest of the WIAC.

4 in, 3 hosting. Interesting. I was really wondering if WW would get in. Little bit of an eye roll when UWO's opponent was announced.

WW got in because they beat Luther and only had seven losses. There strength of schedule also held up. Dave an Pat on Hoopsville last night had a pretty good discussion including WW making the tournament. it was a good year for the WIAC. Wish EC would not play the D2 schools - it hurts them - set up to put them in a losing way at the start of the season. Also EC should lighten up the schedule. Having the 10th hardest schedule in the county does nothing for making the NCAA tournament. They should drop their SOS from over 600 to about 540. My 2 cents.

George Fox is the top seed there. NCAA geography and finances denies GFU a chance to host at UWSP's gain.
