My gosh, am I glad that game got done last night. I don't think I could have sat there much longer. But, I did see a call at the end of the game I have never seen before. UWO letting the clock run out, a UWL defender crept closer, and the official called a 5-second closely guarded violation......with 0.7 left on the clock. And the UWO player had started a dribble to reset the 5. Kind of unreal.

Five WIAC teams in the tournament is absolutely nuts!

Hopefully they can keep everyone in different first weekend pods.

Yeah, it will be REAL interesting to see how these brackets pan out. I've tried to balance them geographically and with seeds, and it is tough.

Flying UWLC to the Texas pod would sure help the bracketing pressure of 5 WIACs.

I hear Texas is nice this time of year. But D3H projections have Osh, WW, and Stout in same quadrant. Of course, we'd like to see that broken up a bit.

With 5 teams and a minimal travel budget for flights, I think the best we can hope for is keeping them all apart the first weekend.

Yeah, with Whitewater jumping into hosting position, there are less options for moving WIAC teams east, which might help to separate them.  Unless they're really going to spring for a lot of second weekend flights, they're going to have to be in the same quadrant.

I just heard the host on the NCAA site call UWO the Warhawks. I can't watch anymore. It has been brutal.

Greek Tragedy

Brutal bracket. Whitewater and La Crosse in the same 1st and 2nd round quad at Whitewater, so they could meet in the 2nd round. Then, Stout is hosting a quad and they are directly above the Whitewater quad. The winners of those two quads meet in the Sweet 16. Way to split them up.

Point and Oshkosh on the other side of the bracket. The only way they could meet is in the Final Four.

I would have asked them to go to the video replay for review, but that hasn't worked out well for us lately.  ;D
