3 by Mugg, her 7th, I believe.  And I think all have come after the half.  About 30sec left, EC by 3.  Now guard the 3 line

buf

Cordes gets offensive rebound and put back.  66-65 EC with 18sec left.  No turnovers and need to hit FTs

buf

68-65 as Heidi A makes 2 FTs, 15sec left

buf

Congrats on Muggs for her 7 3s.  A new EC record!

buf

Cordes misses a 3.  Burns at the line with 4 sec.  Burns misses both, timeout RF, 2sec left.

The Champ

Burns misses two FT's to ice the game.

buf

Cordes misses 3.  EC wins!!  Great game by Muggs.

The Champ

Congrats to the Blugolds

Champ-

I'm hoping for a Stout-EC meeting for the conference tourney championship.  However, a lot of play left to go.

Buf- you were really working the boards hard.  ;)

Now, that's what I'm talking about. More perimeter shooting from EC is what we need.

Great, great game lady bluegolds. WOW!

That hasn't happened since the 2002-03 season and that game was at Zorn Arena.  I was at that game, and rest assured, I didn't like the outcome!

I am cautiously optimistic that should our teams meet in the WIAC Tournament at all, it won't be at Zorn... ;)

The only way I think it would end up at Zorn is if EC wins the rest of their regular season and if RF finishes 3rd.  Too many games left to go.  It looks like EC has a 2nd place battle with WW.  And looking at the last game of the schedule, EC has to go to WW.  A lot of ball yet to be played.

The only way the WIAC Championship is at Zorn is if Stout loses out, EC wins out, and EC wins the tiebreaker.  I haven't even tried to figure out the tiebreaker, but it appears you've conceded the Conference Title to Stout with the reference above to being in a battle for 2nd with WW.

For now, all I know for sure is that Stout has a piece of the Conference Title.  I'm hoping for a W this Saturday to confirm it's not a shared title.

As you said, there is a lot of ball yet to be played.  The most important games of the WIAC season start February 19th.

Several items: A little surprised by the UWStout vs O score. I know Stout is great, but how bad did O shoot. A report would be appreciated. How much has UWL fell. Most of the team returned. Did not attend the game, but what a performance by Liz Tesch. She had 36 points against a good UWL team. May not be as good as last year, but still solid! At this point how likely for UWW and UWEC to make the tournament. I think they are both worthy, but do they have too many loses. Nice Crowd at UWRF, 522. EC must have brought most of the crowd. I saw UWRF last Saturday. They are Dangerous, and could be the Dark Horse in the Tournament. i noticed they start a smaller and quicker lineup than the first time I saw them in RF. The Bluegolds beat a good team on the road, I know you EC fans have to be happy with this. God Bless!
