I didn't notice anyone standing in WHITEWATER;)

Do Mark and Eddie have some sort of contest as to who can bring in the most recruits in a season? :D ;)

Thanks to the wonderful facility you have at UWW (second only to Johnson Fieldhouse), it seems that they purchased enoung seating for the players of the opposing teams...  Now if you could just get as many fans in the stands as Stout does... ;D

Mark's only concern is how his team performs - he really doesn't worry about what Eddie does.

Mr. Downtown

Fresh from the rumor mill, I have reliable sources saying that Oshkosh is going to be back to square one rebuilding this team. Supposedly some of the girls (starters a year ago) are leaving the team for various reasons.

As always, until i have confirmation and know exactly what's going on, I'll pass it around. But from the sounds of it, expect more freshmen to start for Oshkosh in the upcoming year, or more walk-ons.

buf

Interesting.  Keep us posted on that situation.

UWL has commitments from nine players, including to D2 transfers and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's female athlete of the year, Ashley Imperiale, an AP first-team all stater.

Imperiale, a guard, averaged 18 pog, 8.7 rpg, 3.5 steals and 3 apg last year at Greendale High School.

The two transfers, center Lana Marjonovic and Katie Zellner, played at Winona State last year.

Other recruits include: forward Dana Churchill (11.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg) from Sheboygan North's D1 runner up team; Melissa Lang, from Greendale; Lindsey Litrenta, from D.C. Everest; Taylor Larson, from Badger; Sierra Spaude, from Sturgeon Bay; and Betsy McGinnity, from Pulaski.

WOW! A first teamer to a WIAC school.  That doesn't happen very often.  The last I can think of was Nya Geshke to UWEC who ended up transferring to UWW.  Good pick up for UWL.

Lana Marjonovic played a year for EC then was going to go to UWW but instead went to Winona.  She's a transfer machine!

I tought Marjonovic's name looked familiar...  ;)

Interesting schedule for the Blugolds. They go almost a month and a half without a game at Zorn. Play Nov. 28 against St. Cloud, and then don't have a home game until Jan. 9, when Superior comes to town.

They start December with three conference away games, at Stout, Platteville and La Crosse, play Carleton on Dec. 11, and then take the semester break, until they fly to San Diego for a tournament at the end of the month.

They get four of five final conference games at home down the stretch in February, though - Oshkosh, UWRF, UWP and Stout, with a trip to UWSP sandwiched in between...

Hi...I'm posting for the 1st time and getting excited about the upcoming bball season for the girls.  This board has been way to quiet for awhile.  Any thoughts on who will be tough this year and who will not be?  Love to hear your thoughts...

buf

I would look for Whitewater and Point to be up at the top with EC and Stout closely battling them for the conference title.

Now that school is back in session, have you found out any further information on the situation at UWO?

UW Stout's new Asst Coach...

For those that remember from a few years back (2001 - 2005), Erin Churchill, former point guard for the Runnin' Lady Blue Devils has rejoined the team!!!

QuoteFormer UW-Stout standout guard Erin Churchill begins her first season as an assistant women's basketball coach. Churchill, a Plum City native, played for UW-Stout from 2001-05 where she was a two-time all-WIAC honorable mention pick, a four year letterwinner and an integral part when Stout won conference championships in 2002 and 2005. Churchill played in all 112 games she suited up for, which, up to that point, was a school record. Churchill earned a starting role with the Blue Devils during her sophomore season and went on to start 83 games. For her career, Churchill finished with 844 total points (7.5 ppg), 483 rebounds (4.2 rpg) and 383 assists (3.4 apg). Since graduating from Stout early childhood education, Churchill has been pursuing a masters from Stout in family development. She has coached at Eau Claire Regis and in Menomonie School District. In addition to coaching duties, Churchill will also be an instructor in the Physical Education Department. Churchill is engaged to marry Eric Konsela this fall and the couple plan to reside in Menomonie.

Coach T giving some pregame tips to Erin prior to the Game against Ripon College in the 2005 DIII tourney.

Coach T lost both his AC's this year, but I expect great things of Erin C.  She was a leader on the court as a player - she should do fine in her new role as a college coach!

billys

We'll see if Erin C. can recruit like the others did. Mark Noll spent a lot of time on the road.

Sounds like the stud freshman at La Crosse might not play this year. I guess we'll find out come media day.

Interesting; no Wisdom on the Platteville roster. They are without a senior it appears. Platt, SP, and WW have rosters up ... interesting since they haven't even started practice yet.

The addition of Kelsey Hendrickson will be huge for WW.

Wonder if this might be a final run for Coach Egner at Point. A LOT of good seniors on this year's team

I'm on a similar thought process as buf- forced to order them without seeing official rosters I'd say EC, SP, WW, Stout, LaX, Plat, Osh, RF, Super.

I don't think there is as much parity as there was the past few years. I think there's a line after the top four with UWL able to go one way or another and then the bottom four clearly in the bottom four.

SP is going to be on top w/out a doubt...too much experience.  i go to school w/the "stud" freshman's friend and rumor is transferring to uwm at semester to start practicing w/team.  i agree w/ billys line between top 4 and bottom

I've looked at SP's roster and I don't see anyone I'd classify as a "stud" freshman.  Who are you talking about?
