If it was an intrasquad game I would think that everyone, regardless of whether they started or not, would play more than two minutes.

Is it possible that she was injured?  That could easily happen in two minutes.

They're referring to the season opener against Luther. Hauser started and played two minutes and that was it. I would have to assume she was injured. I can't imagine the scenario where a starter would play two minutes and then not come back AT ALL. Although; she did have two quick TO's and may have been scored on twice ... so I guess in a big game as a freshman in her debut ... it could be possible.

UWEC wins at St. Norberts 61-57.  Burns with 19pts and Zenner with 10pts.

Point, UWO and Stout are all big winners this evening.

UWP losses on the road.

Oshkosh's Freshman are playing better then what most people thought...

I have yet to see them, but I'm really curious about Tiffany Pugh. Looks like she is going to be the outside threat this season for Oshkosh, and just scored a bunch of points on 7/11 shooting coming off the bench tonight.

I thought if Oshkosh would win 10 games this year, that would be successful. So far, they are 1/5th of the way there.

Actually, UWO had a good recruiting class.  Three of the freshman were listed as Top 50 HS Senior players last year (Boeder, Pugh, Ebbens).

It does look like they have played well the last couple of games, but at the same time, I'm not sure how good those teams were.  I guess Central is pretty bad.  Ripon has been decent in the past.

UWO falls to Wheaton 63-53.  Pugh leads the Titans with 16, Tyriver with 10

UWEC destroys North Park, perhaps the worst D3 team I have ever seen play, 98-38.  If the starters were in for a full game, this easily would have been over a 100 point win.  North Park had only 9 players on their roster.

Tonight however, EC will have their hands full with the University of Chicago, who rolled past Edgewood last night.  I see this game going down to the wire as U of C is a really good team.

buf - I didn't see the 'Golds last night, but will probably make it to Zorn tonight, based on your hunch that it will be a good game... Hope so; it will be another good test for UWEC, who doesn't shy away from tough competition in non-conference games...

EC loses at home to Chicago, 56-49.  It was the first loss at Zorn in 2 seasons.  Chicago is a really good team.  However, EC's offense was just plain bad, especially the shooting (25%).  EC also only shot 50% from the FT line, but so did Chicago.  Defensively they (EC) played well enough to win.

EC definitely needs to work on their offense and their defensive rebounding.  It doesn't get any easier as D2 St. Cloud State comes to Zorn on Wednesday.

Final from Zorn -
University of Chicago 56, UWEC 49...

I'd like to say the Maroons stole one tonight, but they didn't. They pretty much flat out won it, doing something that the last 18 previous teams to visit Zorn were unable to do...

That 18-game winning streak was snapped after a night when the hoop must have looked like the ocean; the 'Golds put up 98 points last night. Tonight, it must have looked like a tea cup, as the 'Golds shot but 23.8% from the floor. Not going to win many games that way... Big advantage on the defensive end, as the Maroons pulled down 40 boards...

And UWEC also uncharacteristically  hit but 50 % of its free throws, 12 of 24, and thus were not able to crawl back into the game...

Chicago was leading at half, 23-22, but pulled out to a double-digit lead, which the 'Golds couldn't chip away at... They forced 27 turnovers, compared to only 12 of their own, but were not able to convert them into points...

Nicaya Rapier had 11, Jamie Stinson had 12, and Nofi Mojidi had 14 points to lead Chicago. Heidi Arciszewski had 16 for UWEC; Michelle Burns added 10...

Disappointing loss was the way Coach Englund summed things up in the post game wrap... Not much more that I can add, but for Chicago is a good, balanced team; they would be at the top of the conference standings at the end of this season if they were in the WIAC....

Point and UWO are winners today.

UWP shoots similar to what EC shot today and also loses.

Oh I am not a step ahead.  I just have software installed on my computer that lets me know when you log on.  That way I always get the first post in  ;) :D ;D

Notables in Zorn tonight included Stout's Mark Thomas, I do believe I saw him...

And former UWSP player Diane Hawkins, as a graduate assistant coach for Edgewood College... She was on the Pointer's 2002 National Championship team...
