As I recall, Corollo did not even coach in every game.  I am sure she did not travel with her team to California over winter break because of her pregnancy, so can she really be coach of the year?  Her team won games without her.  She is a really good coach, but even if you are a really good coach, other can be more deserving. 

No offense intended but that's ridiculous reasoning.   If you had any idea the effort she put in preparing the team and returning as quickly as she did you'd realize that.  You would think that she had nothing to do with the team beating the, at the time, #1 ranked team in the nation, with your comment.

I have not seen any other team play Superior, but my point was why was she pressing Superior when WW was up by 35.  I do not have a problem with minutes being played by starters, but pressing a team that could not handle the pressure when the game is cleary out of reach was unnecessary in my opinion.  So just to be clear, I had a problem with pressing when up by 35 in the second half, nothing else. 

My point about her not coaching in every game was meant to show how good her team can be and they can win without her.  They did beat a very highly ranked team in California without her.  I am sure she put in a lot of time and work to get them ready.  WW, in most people's opinions, had by far the most talented team in the league, yet did not win the conference title outright or the conference tournament title.  I believe if she would have won the tournament, she would have won COY, but she didn't.  She is a very good coach.  I am not making any bones about that.  I am just stating that is my opinion.

UWW vs Ill Wes

There should be quite a lot of scoring in this game as both like the tempo fast.  IWU probably has more speed, but UWW has the height and size on the inside.  IWU shoots a lot of 3s.  Hopefully they are not hot this evening.

EC vs Simpson

This could be a tough game for UWEC.  I watched Simpson take it right at Stout last year in the 1st round of the tournament.  They seem to have many of the same players back this season.  UWEC will have to shoot well and rebound well to win.

Yes, but EC played St. Cloud at home (one of their better games), while Simpson played them on the road.  EC did win at Luther and Simpson lost there.  I definitely think that EC can win, but they are playing against a good team on their home court.

Pressing is the style of play WW plays.  Why can't the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th teamers play like they practice?  They need to learn how to play WW style BB too.

The starters only averaged 6 minutes of play in the second half.  Every member of the team played.

Besides the starters, 5 additional players had double digit minutes in the game - and most of those minutes were in the first half.

WW played their game.  A team should never have to apologize for that.  Calling off the dogs is taking the starters out, or even taking the second tier players out.  But what else can a coach do?  Play with 3 players???  

I think the opposing team would take that as a bigger insult than losing by a large margin.
