Point rocked St. Norbert on Saturday.  Sounds like they were out for revenge after Norberts stunned them in the NCAA Tournament last season.

I'd rather they would have won the NCAA Tournament game and got crushed in the scrimmage, but oh well.  I'm moving on to a new year.

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Ain't that the truth...

A win in a meaningless scrimmage isn't revenge.  Now if the two should square off in this year's NCAA Tourney, that would be revenge!

Superior women beat St  Scholastica today. I hesitate to make any predictions when I have no idea what kind of team St S is supposed to have. I hope the 'Jackets can win some conference games. I'd think they might have a chance if they could muzzle the coach; he's pretty annoying.

UWO down 13-0, 5min into the game.  So far they have only attempted 2 shots and have 8 turnovers.

buf

now UWO is down 21-0, 8min in.  They are now up to 3 shots attempted and 12 turnovers.  On top of that, Pugh picked up 3 fouls within a 20 second span.

buf

23-0, 10 min in.  4 shots, 15 turnovers.  this is incredible!  As I type, UWO is now on the board, 23-2.

The Champ

Stout up 43 - 33 at the half.

Julia Hirssig leads the scoring with 19 points (6 of 7 from the floor and 7 of 8 from the FT line) and also leads with 6 rebounds.

Charlee Edwards is 4 of 4 from the floor with one 3 pointer for 9 points.

UWO is playing St Cloud? DII? Stout played them a couple years and generally got pushed around pretty well. They had a BIG girl from Duluth(?) on the team. First couple of minutes is just shell-shock

Yes, I believe that they are D2.  Stout lost to them by 15 last year and UWEC beat them by 8, also last season.

buf

Oh no, it looks like the start of the first half for UWO.  St. Cloud comes out of halftime going on a 12-0 run in the first 3 minutes and leads by 38.

The Champ

Final score is 87 - 70 for Stout over North Central at the St. Norbert's Tourney...

Hirssig sees limited action in the second half - score 4 points and adds 3 boards.

Edwards stays hot and adds 7 points and 4 boards in the second half.

Everybody plays, most everyone scores for Stout.

Stout is +8 on steals and turnovers.

NC only attempted two 3 pointers, and missed both.  Stout was 4 - 19 from three point land.

St Norbert giving Stout everything they can handle. Hirssig comes up big, though, for a second game. Keep her healthy.

buf

Stout loses 76-71

Any volleyball fans? I posted on my blog a Nationals Guide similar to the ones I did for the St. Thomas and Oshkosh regionals. Check it out if you're interested in Oshkosh and/or D-III VB.
